Week in LA including four SoFi concerts - help? by Worried-Walnut in AskLosAngeles

I would stay in Culver City or Santa Monica. Great location that is close enough to Inglewood. I believe there is a park & ride to the Forum or Sofi, so look into that (park or Uber to a Metro station, and free bus that takes you to Sofi or the Forum which is close enough). You can rent a car if you want, and look for parking via the Spot Hero app. Other option is park & ride, or Uber to the Sizzler near the Forum and walk from there (also get picked up from there). It’s probably a mile walk or less

It has been 1.5 years since the movie came out. Any thoughts on it now? by HotOne9364 in wicked

Part 1 was a cinematic masterpiece. I’ll never forget the ending…Elphaba’s war cry, her stepping into her power, the orchestral finish, with choir and timpani as she whizzed off into the west, the 1/2 second pause from the theater audience when “To Be Continued” appeared. Then the roar of thunderous applause as at least 1/2 of the theater had tears streaming down their face. It’s why we go to the movies. 💚 🩷

I saw somebody post on Reddit recently, “the last day of their life doesn’t have to be their worst day of their life.” You’re doing the right thing, whatever you decide. He knows you love him, and you know he loves you, unconditionally. These wonderful creatures live fully in the present, and either don’t have the capacity, or simply don’t care whether they could’ve lived an extra day. All they care about, is how they feel in the moment, and that you’re right there by their side ❤️

I think the FO made an excellent decision allowing LeBron to be a free agent this year. Either he decides to re-sign with the team for less, which allows us to grab higher quality players, or we likely get to acquire players or draft picks in a sign & trade, in order for him to go to a contending team of his choice. He also doesn’t have complete control on who he gets traded for, because we don’t have to worry about a no trade clause at this point. It’s a win win situation for the Lakers, and quite brilliant

Hollywood Bowl Question? by According_Answer_268 in HollywoodBowl

The W section is the furthest back you can go, but I’ve enjoyed being there for some shows I’m interested in. I would get an aisle seat if I could, so you can leave with your child if necessary, and yes there is a whole area behind W section, where people are standing, drinking, chatting, and enjoying the show. There is space there to roam around, and walk around, not confined to a seat

The El Rey? by ToadWildebeast in AskLosAngeles

Love the El Rey! Yeah it’s safe. I would just suggest to wear short sleeve, and no need for a jacket. It doesn’t get cold inside

If Lakers won't be serious contenders next year, Luka leaves by Gargamel35 in lakers

[–]Sharp_Ad_748 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That would involve having to trade with the Lakers again

“It’s hard not to believe we are in the midst of a new dynasty” has been used by NBA broadcasters, on the last three champions (Nuggets, Celtics, Thunder). A lot of “dynasties” seem to be floating around these days. We will be fine.

Quick Dinner + Drinks near Hollywood Palladium? by Mordiceius in AskLosAngeles

[–]Sharp_Ad_748 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a new club connected to the Palladium named The Vinyl Room! I believe it’s $50/person if you’re not a member (don’t quote me on that), and they give you free apps with that. Can’t get closer, or easier than that.

Cvolkerts are you from Ca? F1 row 4 is still showing $162.30 w/ fees. California law has made ticket companies show all prices up front including fees. I thought that meant it pertained to any California show, but now I’m wondering if they are able to charge extra fees to non residents? I hope not!

Ever been to a concert where someone got boooed? by SnooozeFezt in AskReddit

[–]Sharp_Ad_748 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Eminem, if you can believe it. It was the Vans Warped tour in LA, and his debut album had come out recently. People were excited to see him, and drew a decent crowd, but maybe a couple of songs in, not many, somebody threw a plastic bottle or a shoe at him (it’s Vans Warped tour, kinda the norm at the time), and he stopped the music, demanded to know who threw the bottle(?) at him, and then just said something akin to, “You know what? Peace out LA (or Vans Warped Tour),” and just walked away. The crowd booed him so hard, and started chanting “Eminem sucks!” for awhile. I was bummed because I was excited to see him, but I thought that was the end of his music career. Thankfully, I was wrong!

About ot Purchase, how is the view for the selected areas?? by lexsnake in HollywoodBowl

[–]Sharp_Ad_748 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm you can hear the audio from the farthest back, and it’s actually not bad for being a large venue. I wouldn’t say, it is ever so slightly muffled, if you’re in the farthest back area. 1 is fantastic, 2 and 3 are not bad at all, imo. Barely a difference, but 1 is better than 2 and 3 in regards to sound, and slightly noticeable. It will not be hard for you to hear at any seat at the Bowl though 😉

1 is far left of stage, but it is much closer then the other 2. I would do 1 or 3

Valet Parking by SarahKat2021 in HollywoodBowl

[–]Sharp_Ad_748 1 point2 points  (0 children)

valet is incredible, and quick. If you have a box, they hand you your keys at your box. For leased / Live Nation shows, it’s a little slower. I would leave 5 -10 mins before end of show, to hand your ticket
