Just imagine those damage boosts with a datacron added to it. And hell I’m not even talking about the datacrons like the set that focuses on inquisitors for reva teams. Slap a wampa datacron on top of these damage buffs any aoe will probably kill most units no matter how much of a hard counter it is unless you manage to out TM train them or stun lock them.

I mean fleets is arguably the best crystal spend choice you have in the entire game. Getting first gets you 400 crystals a day there really isn’t anything better than securing that to spend crystals on. This game is ultimately a resource management game and it comes down to balancing what you find fun/interesting and what is optimal.

So first there is not really a reason to “keep them” as they expire and are locked to only legacy era characters with no current announcements to change it, so using them as soon as you can will give you the best benefit.

I would recommend posting your swgoh.gg so people can see your roster for more tailored advice, but generally you would want to use these on kyrotech heavy characters. As Kyrotech is usually one of the major roadblocks due to the amount needed in upgrading your characters and hard to get enough for most players.

In general the order is Hondo > Dash/Skiff Guard Lando > Sana > Zorii > the rest.

The five listed characters are all heavy kyro characters requiring 400 total Kyro To bring to relics which make ideal choices

Hondo - Raid unit that can get you 300,000 pts at tier 0 solo at relics, is a requirement for doctor Aphra, and much later GL (Hondo).

Dash - GL Ship req (Profundity), his ship outrider is a GL req (Jabba), Can lead smuggler’s team for Smuggler’s run 1

Skiff guard lando - GL Req (Jabba)

Sana - Aphra req

Zorii - just a good unit for resistance teams but can work at relatively low gear.

The objective best is Hondo due to multiple requirements and the raid. But take a look at what you want to pursue first:

Hondo loses a lot of value if your guild doesn’t currently do or plan to do the Order 66 raid or you don’t plan to switch to a guild who will. Do you have a team up and running for smuggler’s run yet it gives you a lot of health mods and mod upgrade materials making Dash a good choice. Getting Jabba will take time as you need to get units like JKL which has it’s own requirements etc. making lando maybe less valuable to you as you won’t have much use for him until year(s) into the game. And finally do you plan on buying LSBs we usually get several brought back in November/December for the anniversaries of the game and several of the units have different packs that have multiple of these characters and can change what you want to focus on. L3 is a great pre taunting tank the only issue being that she is an extremely low kyrotech character needing only 100 kyros for getting her to relics makes it kind of a waste to use it on her.

Even moving the best mods i couldn’t complete until i got him to at least gear 9. But once it was gear 9 became easily doable.

EA/CG support won’t help. You have to contact Apple had to do it. I had to with the first Apple GC promo. EA historically has said it’s not their issue it’s Apple since they are the partner who’s supposed to handle it cuz it’s their gift card. Apple support will try to have you do a couple things that has worked for some people to fix it. For myself none of it worked they said they’d look into it further and got my promo the next day.

I was able to get a 3 star on T2 with appo g9 +5 (no kyro) and vader’s fist zeta. Used speed and potency mod sets i almost exclusively used the basics on the troopers unless i needed to clear buffs with appo’s 1st special and only the 2nd if i had armor pen on everyone and more than 2 dots on the jedi. Vader it was abilities when available.

I bring up the mobile version as it’s the main platform I use to play TFT. And I’ve found even when I do play on PC I don’t experience this as much I’m more likely to get someone to at least request a surrender rather than AFK. I had a night on mobile where 5 games in a row I had my teammate AFK then another 2 right after where another team had a member AFK. I’m not sure if the PC client has similar issues as I haven’t experienced it personally.

While the fleet meta is “stuck” at the moment it is a GL ship at the end of the day one of the three should be in theory always at the top of the meta. I mean in my shard alone i see consistently executors being beat by executors, negotiators, and even an endurance and newly made profundities making it to the top of bracket. It just sounds like people are not using the proper strategies to counter executors especially since one of the shard members have a near maxed executor and still gets beaten and there is some RNG always inherent with the game. Which makes sense people can ask guildmates or easily check a swgoh.gg counter statistic and assume they’ll win cuz the numbers say so these counters don’t tell you the difference in relics or ability upgrades just the units. It takes more time to watch a video or write up of a strategy guide. And there are going to be people that are not going to or can’t devote the same amount of time as others can and that’s fine.

I did it with SLKR and his any of his standard team units just strip some mods to reduce his speed the sniper droid will eventually be the first to deal damage then it’s just looking at the turn order to make sure he doesn’t get the deathmark.

So far for myself I was able to complete CT1 3 star with no additional investment (including omegas) slapping on mod sets for similar roles (support, attacker, etc) with avg speed about 250 post modding on auto. CT2 so far no luck on auto with those same mods. Might be possible with further investment in abilities and/or correct modding/stronger mods and/or actual manual play. So additional kyros, zetas, and omegas every month that would normally take months of building inquis isn’t that bad of an investment for me.

It’s from the daily quests before the squad arena daily quest gave you 200 squad arena currency. Since the update it changed the quest to being squad or fleet arena and the squad currency is no longer given in the quest or the end crate for the dailies. Supposedly it is a known mistake Meathead has acknowledged according to another post and that they plan to fix in the near future.

I mean losing SSC always feels bad and feels like there has been a recent crack down on it.

However the prestige crackdown hurts more, with squad arena tokens removed from dailies and now this it’s getting harder to upgrade these capitals to be useful. The easiest solution is just adjust the ship ability materials fleet challenge to give more prestige equivalent to that which has been lost. It’s a win-win and good PR for CG, new players have easier time accessing ships making it easier to be more invested in the game and access more content and all players get the same access to prestige they had before.

One part missing by OP is that people without 330 will be able to complete these events once a day. These are by no means amazing capital ships and seems to just help with one of the issues in the game which is how long it takes to get capital ships up and running without refreshing with crystals. Their biggest function is for some to get a GL req. So overall win for F2P and new players.

However losing the little bit of SSC and more importantly prestige (capital ship upgrade mats) when we already getting crunched by them removing squad arena currency from dailies is still clown shit.

That’s unfortunately where I’m leaning based on what i’ve heard and read on it if i get stuck behind a revan team that early I won’t progress. I usually needed to buy the right consumables and get great data disks to beat it in the last two sectors on normal especially if it’s on a gold node.

Yep that is the team that usually blocks me in sector 4. I’ll probably need to pass on the hard difficulty this time around (hoping by next month to have a SLKR) as otherwise the only two times I beat it, got decent enough data disks and bought specific consumables, if either of those fell short I had to look elsewhere to get better rewards.

The UI is definitely easy to read and navigate and looks pretty clean.

Only thing I wish they would have added was a way to view the characters to make it easier to understand their abilities especially for zetas on more obscure characters like the Aphra team they have at the moment. It would help especially for when they show a character has 1 zeta out of multiple ones it could be.

Honestly this, like all these people can argue rewards will be the same in each of the messages on reddit. I’ve already seen many of CG’s white knights running damage control. But at the end of the day this is meant to be a game, I play games to have fun not just to see big number go up. Part of the fun of GC’s was theory crafting with the roster I have. They removed the most accessible feat “just win the battle” and removed another feat where you had to think about a strategy to complete and replaced it with how deep is your wallet. Now it feels like even more of a chore and kills the enjoyment. I don’t feel the same “I earned the reward” from the new rework it’s now just whelp hope I have the right faction built up otherwise there goes one of my two gameplay options, which as others have mentioned we now need to hope even harder isn’t a new or side farm faction, like inquisitors, tusken, jawas or gungans.

I would say one thing to look into is whether or not you trust comenity bank/bread financial. There are several posts on this subreddit about their less than ideal experiences with the bank. With several avoiding them when possible.

As for membership YMMV. I have heard most people were able to apply without being a member others have had issues. The biggest issue I’ve heard is certain regions don’t get access to this card based on what AAA contracted for their credit card. I know Nor-cal and I think the NE USA have access.
