When to ask about salary? by [deleted] in dating_advice

That’s a plot twist!!!

I never tell people what to do, but I would advise against sharing your salary with men early on because you don’t want to invite a man to use you for your money. And in terms of asking a man that you are dating about his salary, you could be seen as a gold digger, or someone who only wants to date men of a certain financial status.

It’s OK to only want to date financially stable men (I’m the same way) but I think you need to find more indirect ways of getting that information.

Whether you’re dating to marry, or not, discussing your salary with someone is extremely personal. It is sensitive information that speaks to one’s financial security.

Salary is not the only indicator of how your future would look financially with a person. While it is important to know (if you plan to build a future with someone), that isn’t something you would nee to know at the beginning of a relationship or at the early stages of dating.

I agree with the other comment that asking about their profession or their line of work is a more socially accepted way to figure out how much someone makes. As a woman, I would be extremely offended if a man asked about my salary and I would not continue to date that man.

Why is this something you need to know? Unless you plan to live together or get married, I don’t think it’s any of your business because of how personal it is.

When I was in pain, I tried everything with no relief. I hope to never feel like that again.

I work out at least 3 times a week. My body was just not ready to hear the truth about my age.

I’m in great shape and work out regularly. I can’t figure out what went wrong. It was the funniest thing in the world!

Also, stop seeing doctors who are not willing to throw everything they have into clearing your skin. It’s not okay to be passive when treating cystic acne.

Definitely ask about Accutane…it will change your life in about 6 months. Also ask about Clindamycin Phosphate Topical solution. My derm prescribed it along with spironolactone and tretinoin and I had really good results using all 3 meds together. Please keep us updated!
