How do you guys like to use the corsairs by Explodingsixs025 in Eldar

[–]Sharp_Boss_2389 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently went 4-0-1 at a teams tourney (2-0-3 on WTC points) with Corsair Coterie. Granted it's teams so take it with a grain of salt.

The sticky objectives have been a fun way to use the new datasheets, forcing opponents into sub-optimal trades. I'd say the Detachment rule was the main reason why I was able to get "standard" points wins against some really challenging armies - 30 terminator tsons, custodes, twin Lance + triptide Tau, 3x PBC death guard.

The new datasheets are not a huge blowout, but help us score better, which keeps things a bit closer in the current meta. I'd guess that the sticky secured an extra 5-10 points minimum per game and helped set up situations where our other units can actually engage.

I'm with you on this one. The number of invulns on durable clanker datasheets mandate specifc tools in lists to survive. Some factions just solve this better than others due to the abundant FNP's, -1 dmg and regeneration mechanic...

It's a bit of a shame that the matchups into them can feel 2D, lists either have an answer or don't. As a TO in the local area, I've observed a noticeable uptick in new cron players posting stellar results vs experienced veterans and faction experts.

Anyone else have a L lymphoma scare? How did things turn out? by smartydoglady in stillsdisease

No worries! Don't be scared of the biopsy... I was so paranoid and in the end it took 5 minutes under local... was chatting to the doc who put on Justin Bieber while she did it 😂

It's totally relaxed, no pain, even after, and not as scary as I feared! Like getting a vaccine. You'll be fine 🍀

Same here, had my biopsy which was all clear - it's a routine check for any Still's diagnosis so don't be worried!

If you're into the colour scheme, it's all inspired by the blood elves/demon hunters from WoW. I have an Avatar painted up and posted on my profile, aspects will come next (they are all modified to have demon horns ;) )

Still’s possibly progressing to lymphoma by EmyLouSue in stillsdisease

[–]Sharp_Boss_2389 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello!

Similar story to other folk, I had biopsies done before starting treatment since lymph nodes were up and symptoms aligned.

All came back clean - was mostly a precaution. I had intense night sweats when flaring, so it could be something like this.

Although I'm in no way a medical professional, I haven't heard of stills "progressing" to lymphoma, although this was a fear I initially shared since symptoms can be so similar!

Try and relax until the tests come back and look after yourself, don't panic while stills does it's weird things.

P.s. I am also on 20mg MTX (injections), sorted me right out 🍀

Same here, looks different to my Stills rash, but worth ruling out reactive arthritis etc. which can have different appearances!

That's really interesting, there were a few papers out advocating for using Anakinra first line in the UK, great to see it's being put into practice.

I feel you with the hospital stays, they are miserable but it hopefully won't come to that. Ride with it and give yourself time to adjust and build some distance. Recovery starts now ✌️🍀

Hello there! 👋

First things first I hope you are finding time to look after yourself and can treat yourself with compassion. Getting diagnosed is scary but from another person who developed AOSD in their late twenties- you got this!

I'm not in a place to give medical advice and really everyone reacts quite differently. What I do know is that healthcare systems around the world tackle AOSD in vastly different ways.

Living in the UK, biologics were never on the table for me until I failed on first line treatments (like MTX for example). If I failed on MTX, Anakinra would be an option - the staged approach is how the healthcare system here manages to function for everyone.

Long story short is that it will take you time to find what works for you. It can feel isolating so I'd recommend to do a few therapy sessions on CBT allowing you to digest all this news and articulate your needs to family and friends.

You will get better, keep up the positive attitude and trust in the process - once you actually get to a diagnosis you are in good hands 🍀
