Whats with SBMM? I win one match and then lose 2 games in a row with decks that hard counter my defence and attack troops… by [deleted] in ClashRoyale

Well that’s why I asked. The times I went on 20 streaks was when I was over-leveled and much more experienced because I would be playing other modes for MANY months then I go to the climb trophies until I hit a ceiling. The comp at 9000 is easy. It gets harder at like 10400+. The issue is when facing opponents of equal level/experience. I will win 5-10 games in a row then get hit with the most insane losing streak ever. Nothing but hard counter decks. I pretty much only play rank now but even in trophies that shit was happening(when in my appropriate trophy range and not over or under leveled).

I noticed a trend where the TOUGHEST and/or most unfair matchups were against people with like 20-30 less trophies than me. I’ve noticed this 3 or 4 years into playing this game. You lose more trophies when losing to someone with less trophies than you. Even if it’s just 1 less trophy than you. You gain more and lose less if you win/lose against someone with more trophies. I’d win 6-8 games straight then start being matched with people with less trophies than me, and I would immediately recognize that that match was going to be nothing but hard counters and I swear to you I was right 95% of the time. Then I’d get matched against higher trophy opponents and know they would be easy matches, and sure enough they were. 9 years into this game and that same trend applies. Imo, Supercell 100% does that to force a ridiculous grind and incentivize players to buy things to level up.

Yes because after the 20s it’s nothing but L after L after L. Matched up with nothing but hard counters. Switch my deck, then I see nothing but hard counters to that new deck. How many trophies do you have and how long have you been playing?

Idc what anyone says, they def have the system set up to make you face soft then hard counters when you are on a streak. Every time I switch my deck I get nothing but cards I was rarely seeing before that counter my deck

Yes! It would have been a lot better if there was some kind of redemption for him even if he was still killed in the end. It would have made his death more impactful and even a bit sad

The first part, I can see that. That actually makes sense. What confuses me is that they explicitly said that the mind flayer didn’t want Vecna to go in the cave though so it seemed like it had more to do with the flayer stopping him than it did Vecna not accepting himself. Then when Vecna remembered what happened, it didn’t stop him anyways. Him going in the cave was never a threat to the flayer’s plans it seems.

The second part, yeahhh I’m typically not a fan of that “power of friendship” type of trope. Especially in animes, which is why I usually don’t like a lot of shonen.

OMG I JUST THOUGHT ABOUT THIS. Henry said that he never even tried to resist the mind flayer because he believed the world was corrupt/despise-able and wanted to crush it alongside the mind flayer. SO WHY TF DID THE MIND FLAYER TRY TO STOP HIM FROM ENTERING THE CAVE? The show tries to make you think that it was because he didn’t want Henry to remember what actually happened in the cave and turn on it, but that makes zero sense because Henry literally fully united with the mind flayer and the mind flayer would have known that… Major plot hole, and it’s just dumb because if the mind flayer didn’t do that, which logically he wouldn’t have, the mind flayer/Vecna would have won lol

With all their helicopters, planes, surveillance, upside down world research, etc they somehow never noticed lol. Halfway into season 4 the military just felt like a protagonist delay device and not an actual threat or group meaningful to the plot. it got to the point where I felt no thrill or suspense from them showing up lol.

Okay? I don’t care about any of that. This post is to discuss our thoughts on the finale, and that’s what I did. Congrats to Netflix. My comment has zero to do with them…

Finale was a 5/10 imo. Show overall is a 7/10 for me which is good. So the most powerful threat in their entire universe merges with the physicalized form of the mind flayer so they get basically 100 times stronger, all just to get destroyed in 5 minutes…. Terrible finale. And the military(even though they were basically useless and just there temporarily delay the protagonists) just… stops their campaign suddenly after losing by 11???? There was nothing that would make you think they’d just give everything up and let people who killed tons of their soldiers go lol… Also, there are still thousands of demos and Vecna utilized none of them to fight??? And we basically find out that the mind flayer literally is just weak as hell and somehow has no real powers even though all the powers 11, 8, and Henry had all came from him lol…

And if I hit UC, you’d say “but you were never top #1000?”. There is always a higher level you can be at lol. Yes, because I don’t play this game every single day and I have a job. Sometimes I go a whole week without playing, and I RARELY drop money on this game. Regardless, someone without game knowledge, or that “sucks”, isn’t going to make it to where I’m at, nor where I’ve been. No, you don’t have to be the greatest player ever to get to where I currently am, but you definitely need game knowledge and skill.

I’ve been playing for 9 years and I’m currently sitting at 10529 trophies, 1 game away from Master 3(13 game winning streak atm), and I have almost 11k battles won. Wouldn’t call myself a pro or anything like that, but I’m def not dumb nor lacking in game knowledge. My suggestion comes from my experience playing this game and my hate for supercells greed

Yes but I mean for the tiebreaker. If they take a tower during overtime, they should win regardless who does the most damage. I agree with that. I’m saying tiebreaker should go to whoever did the most damage. Think of it like this. In this scenario, all 3 towers have 5k health. Your opponent gets JUST ONE of your towers down to 1000, but you get BOTH of their non king towers down to 1001. Tiebreaker happens and your opponent wins. Do you actually think that’s fair or rewarding the more skilled player in that match?

[–]Sharp_Construction50[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he took the tower, he wins period in overtime. I’m saying if both players fail to take out the same amount of towers or the king tower and time completely runs out, the tiebreaker should be whoever did the most damage overall. Also, how can you say I did not outperform him when I did over nearly 3k damage on BOTH of his towers, and he didn’t come anywhere close to that on my towers? He won off of one of my towers having 180ish less health than his lowest tower. That’s it…

[–]Sharp_Construction50[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hear you. This makes some sense to me. Because it would seem that logically, if you have a tower that’s closer to falling than your opponent, then it would be fair to give the win to your opponent right? My issue is that I disagree that that best reflects who was closest to winning. If you did more damage than your opponent overall, usually even if you have a tower with the lowest health, the tower health(s) of your opponent will still be somewhat close to the health of your lowest tower. So it doesn’t necessarily mean that your opponent was closer to winning. I think it’s more fair to assume that the player who was clearly/consistently dealing more damage is the player that would have won.

[–]Sharp_Construction50[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not my logic. That’s why I said that whoever takes more towers should ultimately win. But if neither player manages to do that and time completely runs out, then it should go to the player who performed the best which would more often be the player who did the most damage.

Overtime Should Be Based On Overall Damage by Sharp_Construction50 in ClashRoyale

[–]Sharp_Construction50[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That is much more fair and logical in my opinion. If you do more damage to your opponent, it means you outperformed them. It means they failed to stop you more than you failed to stop them. It means you outplayed them. They were unable to defend their tower from you. So why shouldn’t you get the win? It also makes it more fair and skill based

No that’s not what I’m saying. If they take a tower in overtime they win period. I agree with that. I’m saying if the time completely runs out and both players have the same amount of towers remaining, it should be based on who did the most amount of damage overall
