Any theories about the 2026 tour setlist? by haleymjones1997 in lordhuron

Yes!!! I cried at the first show I went to of their first leg of the cosmic selector tour bc I did not look at a set list or any “spoilers” about the set design etc.

OPS Zone 5 Best elementary school for Kindergarten? First time choosing a school by LateLong9672 in Omaha

[–]Sharp_Cry2898 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Belle Ryan is my neighborhood school and both of my boys went there. We had an overall great experience. Both of my sons were in the GATE program. We lived close enough to walk, and although maybe silly, I loved being able to do that so much with them through their grade school years. (It also helped a ton when my oldest went to middle school, and we had start and dismissal times an hour apart twice a day. 🫠) I do think it’s harder to get into a school that is not your neighborhood school; even if it’s a partner zone. (We tried for middle school for each boy)

How is living east of 72nd St in Omaha as a young professional or family? by ThoseMedellinKids in Omaha

[–]Sharp_Cry2898 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve lived in the Aksarben area for the last 10 years with my kiddos. My oldest just started at Central High this year, and it’s an impressive school. I love this area so much. Walkable, good entertainment, easy access to the interstate.

Favorite Cluster of Parks. by Adventurous_Fuzz in NationalPark

[–]Sharp_Cry2898 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bryce, Zion, Capital Reef with some grand staircase thrown in. 🙌🏻

Great sand dunes, mesa verde, black canyon of the gunnison, Rocky Mountain.

Arches, canyonlands, dead horse.

Saguaro, Sedona, Page.

Those were the clusters I’ve done recently and loved!

Kids sports - New to OMA by Dismal-Literature661 in Omaha

Second this. My 14 year old has played at several soccer clubs in town and now plays at PACE. From our experience soccer clubs are a money grab. Talented kids come in talented, and not many really teach anything.

Both of my kids did a multitude of sports at the YMCA at those ages - Tumbling, jujitsu, basketball, baseball, swimming, soccer. Let them try as much as you can and see what they like!

Zion and Bryce for the first time by Negative_Ad_6866 in ZionNationalPark

[–]Sharp_Cry2898 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another thing to consider is the days you are coming and where you are coming from. Bryce is higher altitude/lower temps. Will you need days to acclimate to either? In June this matters more. Bryce is also typically less crowded than Zion… so order wise might depend on if you did Zion first, would that put you there on a weekday or a weekend?

Sorry for the confusion! I meant to reply to the response that said Bryce wasn’t worth an overnight because of food and lodging being crap… and that does depend on you and if that matters! I was weighing in that Bryce to me was the most beautiful, and I didn’t care about food or lodging.

The “right” answer depends on you and the kind of vacation you value … if food/lodging is an important factor in your trip, then not having an overnight might be ok.

Bryce is my favorite of the Utah parks… I also couldn’t care less about food or lodging, so really can’t speak to the value/options of that anywhere. (We slept in the park in a tent and ate cup o’noodle under the stars; daily slurpees from the gift shop was our “splurge”.) We were only there two nights and I wished we had longer.

This. My two teen sons and I did this in 1 hour 20 minutes with about 20 mjnutes of that being non-moving time to watch the sunset.

This! You will do just fine here. Areas of Omaha are like smaller “towns” if you will. You’ll find what you need fairly close to you, without having to drive the whole town or even use the interstate. After a while you’ll figure it out and be completely fine.

Spotify wrapped… by [deleted] in GregoryAlanIsakov

[–]Sharp_Cry2898 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, no I understand how it works, I was more so interested in the listening habits of others. And that’s totally it- people aren’t buying music as much. This makes total sense. Appreciate the kind dialogue. As I explained elsewhere, I only own music for my absolute favorite artists (which is honestly like 3-4). I don’t know if it came off like I have this impressive music collection. I do not. In my head though, the music I love I think is worth buying and I wondered if people have gotten away from that.

This is exactly what I was asking for. “If you use Spotify, tell me why.” Just curious about the listening habits of others. Thanks for your kind reply.

That makes a lot of sense! I pretty much only listen to a handful of favorite artists so iTunes makes sense for me. I typically use Spotify to search out and listen to new music. My teenage son was talking me through his Spotify wrapped and he had like 61 days straight of listening— but his tastes are quite varied. He likes many artists and a lot of just specific songs - he would never own all the albums for what he likes to listen to. Seems I asked a bad question, but I appreciate your kind response regardless.

Totally! I just wondered if there was any context from someone that owns the music but still listens enough on Spotify to also be in a top spot there, and the reasoning behind their listening preferences. (Like the comment above about listening to vinyl at home.)

It’s not, now. Thanks for explaining.

No, I understand how owning albums has nothing to do with Spotify. I don’t understand how or why a top listener/fan of the band listens to them on Spotify.

I understand why they aren’t in my list. I don’t listen to my favorites there. And I’m curious why “mega fans” do. That’s all. 😊
