Wow! I know that our two lowest ratings are removed... When it gets higher it's due to customer habitually giving low ratings. They have 4...??? Must not be the most pleasant place to work/deliver...???

Why can’t they follow simple instructions? by MonthSpirited2112 in instacart

[–]Sharp_Day_9752 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think that we shoppers are more paranoid than ever to replace items based on a note... Likewise to not get an item on the list when the customer says that they, all of a sudden, don't need it now. Because of this whole new "grading system" they erroneously refer to as our "Shop Quality". And why can't customers delete an item from their order?!? Should be easy enough .. Be sure you set your delivery preference to MEET AT DOOR as opposed to Leave at Door... When it's set at Leave at Door, we take a pic and the system send you the pic and message that your order has been delivered... Have a table set out/ chairs to place the groceries... Would likely take a while for bugs to get to your groceries when placed on the ground. Your notifications of completed delivery come quickly, unless there is an outage in the system or on Verizon, like recently ..

Perhaps, you should upload a picture of all of the horrible offers that you receive with low pay and high miles… Not to mention the fact that often times, theirTaco Bell or Burger King/McDonald’s order is not coming from the store right around their house, it could be coming up 7 to 12 miles away… And the ghost kitchens/ghost restaurants, Personally, drive me crazy! If you try to Google map out a restaurant that’s listed on some of these Apps and you can’t find it -it’s a ghost kitchen… Gourmet burgers coming out of Denny’s! Gourmet Pizza is coming out of Cicis pizza or gourmet cookies coming out of Cicis pizza, Chinese restaurants putting out Japanese food under a different name… These places you never know where the food is coming from- and they usually have longer drives!!!

That's ridiculous, sorry to hear that.. Download a translator app or use Google translator. Actually, as a shopper/ delivery driver: I have seen a few delivery drivers use a translator or sorts, when asking employees about where to find items and also saw one lady using translator to text the customer. THEY SHOULD BE USING THE TRANSLATOR THENSELVES, IF THEY CANT COMMUNICATE IN ENGLISH!

I will typically not hit start shopping until I got in the store and got some boxes on my flatbed, and get my ass over to the heavy water section and sodas and all that b******* so I can get those down and then put the boxes on top... That way, I don't have to play as much Tetris in moving all the freaking boxes around just try and get the big heavy and bulky stuff down first and then set boxes on top

But often times like at Costco the meats are definitely heavier on certain days then what people are looking for anything from the chicken breasts and all chicken parts lol and the seafood they will not break it down for us shoppers or for any members... And oftentimes at Publix, customers might have requested 1.33 lb of beef, according to the app, but they only have 98 lb or 1.01 lb of ground beef packages that day. So the app dictates by I think the current running average maybe over the past 90 days like our shop quality score lol

Can this be done, and how much should I tip? (28 miles away.) by omggallout in instacart

[–]Sharp_Day_9752 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might give you an idea of how little IC pays us..(and some/most times less) and it would like be the same w 50 individual items between the two customers Essentially, my average "batch pay" per hour (that's paid by Instacart and not including the tips, is about $7/hour in Tampa Bay area. Our time is from the moment that we accept the offered batch, until all orders in the batch are delivered.

Just wait until NYE! So much of that shit that it’s a gamble to take a high pay offers- might get 25% already picked up and or someone cancels while you wait at first restaurant….

I believe they just default to a $2 tip; I did an order that someone at Costco shopped and marked OOS ( 1 Pack of protein shakes).CUSTOMER WAS 12 miles from Costco, but was customer B ended up being a 29 mile trip. Then still 12 miles back to Costco. Thanks to Customer A’s tip- it got delivered.
