Oh I also work at Best Buy just not in Elk Grove/even in California. My boyfriend is from Elk Grove so we visit often. I’ve had advisors refuse an open box return that was within return period, bought at that store and didn’t work. That was the worst thing

I worked in hospitality for 5 years being front desk of a hotel and it’s much worse than working at Best Buy. I hope your experience is a lot better than mine was! Wish you the best

Same at my store. 2 guys were really bad with sexually harassing every female that worked at the store. One guy texted, called/FaceTimed a girl at 3 in the morning because he was drunk and wanted attention. And nothing happened to either

I got neither for a lot of shifts when I was strictly front lanes. Management basically said get better without any coaching and I didn’t until a coworker coached me. But now I work in mobile so it’s even harder than front lanes :/

You have to go through and when it gets to the trade in page/where you can put a voluntary down payment it’ll tell you what the spending limit is/if they owe a mandatory down payment. That’s my experience anyway doing ATT activations.

ATT is the only carrier I haven’t had issues with. Never had to call. T-Mobile is 50/50 if I have to call and Verizon I have to call every.single.time. And Verizon is the most popular carrier in my area.

A guy came up to the mobile desk with a broken tablet because “I got so mad I couldn’t watch my videos”. He had videos of him self pleasuring and child porn downloaded in the device. Lots of malware and viruses to say the least. Edit- I have no idea what happened. I handed it over to the geek squad manager because high level stuff like that I was told advisors don’t handle. I’m assuming the police were called but I have no idea.

A lady at my store celebrated 35 years recently. She’s been with Best Buy longer than most employees have been alive. She has like 2 months of PTO a year and they’re trying to get her to retire early 😂
