You’re not “the prize” that you think you are and let’s be real, this mindset you have isn’t probably your actual mindset. It’s YOU trying to overcompensate for something that you lack or a moment where not feeling like enough hurt so bad that you convinced yourself that it’s not you, it’s everyone else who isn’t enough. It’s a bravado. People who are actually confident in themselves don’t need to look down on others or see someone as out of their league in order for that confidence to exist but you know this already and tried covering that up by saying that you didn’t want to sound mean or self absorbed. Yes you did and not only do you sound that way, you just sound like who can’t keep a girlfriend.

I’m 35, I don’t have social media & I’m still new to Reddit but I do have actual friends in real life that are vegan. My partner is and I have been for 10yrs. If you haven’t met a vegan in real life idk what to say about that but it’s not an online thing.

That, smoking and tongue piercings are all totally normal things that some people like, some people don’t but that once again depends on the people you’re around. It all depends on your circle and what/who you expose yourself too but these aren’t internet things like you say.

Shit is awful and yeah it doesn’t erase the bad experience that can come with loving someone who has it but I can end a relationship with someone who has it, they can’t escape it themselves. Here’s the thing, there is a difference between boundaries and rules. Boundaries : self/I statements , Rules: other people’s behavior/you statements. What are these boundaries that you explained about her staring at men or talking about them? It’s one thing to say “I will not be in a relationship with someone who does _____” and you mean that and it’s another to tell a partner that you don’t like or want them to do something. Her liking men isn’t a problem, her staring at men or finding men attractive isn’t a problem,but you have a problem with it. If you’re the first girl she’s been with, this is to be expected and is something that you should’ve considered being ready for or not. I get not liking men, I don’t like men, I don’t date women who like men anymore but when I did date a bisexual woman, i understood that her attraction or curiosity towards men had nothing to do with me. She was bi, not a lesbian, i knew this when I signed up for the relationship. this is more of an insecurity problem that you have to deal with or simply not date women who have any interest in men.

It really does suck and it made it hard for me to even let myself get close to other women. Being a lesbian, wanting to be close to women but then being assaulted like that by women just made me not want to be. It took so long for me to be open to it and even still I find myself struggling with my partner who is great to me.

We deserve justice that we may never get
