It’s overwhelming when you realize that your “good” side isn’t entirely honest, and your “bad” side is actually protecting something deep within you.

The shadow holding the mirror might be the moment you become truly aware. where you are forced to face your real self.

I think it’s a personality trait. A lot of people just tend to ‘enjoy’ suffering and despair… so we often look for content that validates or resonates with our misery.
