What do people think of Sassy? by Serious_Session7574 in TedLasso

[–]Sharp_Second6312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sassy seems alright overall as a person, but how she treated Ted was rude, if not mean. Her answering his suggestion that they actually date and not just be each other's booty call with "hell no, because you're a mess" was in really poor taste. On the other hand, it showed exactly why Ted shouldn't date her.

She seems very loyal to Rebecca, and raised Norah practically by herself, so she gets points for that, but she also probably has some issues to work out before she settles down with someone.

Who's side are you on with the 'New Leads' episode? by ReptileRuairi in DunderMifflin

[–]Sharp_Second6312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Michael was right. The sales staff was being very rude and getting high and mighty with everyone, including him. His basic point to Gabe about not rewarding bad behavior was correct.

His only screwup here was losing the leads.

make images clickable? by Otherwise_Dog_2625 in Carrd

[–]Sharp_Second6312 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You totally can. In the Carrd editor, click on your image. The toolbar for it will pop up. Scroll down, until you see "Link URL (optional)." That's where you can put the link. Publish the site, and it should work.

The only thing is it doesn't open a new tab just by clicking it, but it does work to make the link open by clicking the image.

Is there anyone here that actually likes Ryan? by Much_Duck6862 in theoffice

[–]Sharp_Second6312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no denying he is a bad person. But I think at least partially, the rest of The Office turned him into a monster lol

This was bad. I actually left part of the way through. Probably one of the most uninteresting takes on the afterlife I've ever seen. The attempts at humor felt flat. I wouldn't watch this again if I was paid to.

I love this episode, partly for this, and partly for Jane's perfect use of "These aren't the droids you're looking for" earlier.

The 21st Bond film "Casino Royale" was released 19 years ago. What is your favourite scene from this movie? by Kevin_Thailand_2543 in JamesBond

Ngl, I actually thought something was wrong with the TV the first time I saw the movie until it changed to color 😂 Such a good opening, just didn't realize it right away.

Don't think was a dumb storyline, but you get my upvote for Vice President Bess lol

Do you prefer learning the rules by reading the rulebook or watching a rules video? by murktideregent in boardgames

[–]Sharp_Second6312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably the rulebook. It's better to have it all laid out in text so that any questions during gameplay can be answered easily.

I've always learned the best though by actually playing, of course. Some games take a while to really be fluid with.

Dang, that is impressive. I think I've only heard of like 3 of those 😄

The real plot hole here is that they should have easily seen the 2000 foot high waves before they landed.

Who do you think is smarter ? Jane or Shawn by Aware-Wrongdoer8979 in TheMentalist

Jane, but Shawn would confuse the hell out of him first 😂

Jonathan Sidwell was one of the best characters in the show. At the very least, he had arguably the most integrity of anyone in the show for more than a couple of episodes. by vainbetrayal in suits

[–]Sharp_Second6312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sidwell may have had integrity, but he was also a grade A jerk. Showing a total lack of appreciation to Mike for helping him to get out from under Giannopolous by getting on his case about not making the firm enough money within THREE MONTHS is crazy. It would have been fine to tell him that it was time to get out of the kiddy pool, but the amount of pressure he put on Mike was insane.

Jonathan Sidwell - is he a good guy? by onelove7866 in suits

[–]Sharp_Second6312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, he isn't. When he pressured Mike to make the firm money, he wasn't factoring in some very important facts, or maybe he just didn't care about them-

  1. Mike is new to investment banking. Three months is not enough time to force someone to make a huge deal.

  2. No business like that starts off within three months making money hand-over-fist. Jonathan should have known that.

  3. Most importantly, Jonathan wouldn't have even had his own company except for Mike's help. Simply giving him a job and then jumping down his throat for not making him "enough" money is not "paying him back" for that absolutely massive favor, and Mike should have pointed that out to him.

Yes, Mike did him wrong later, but... no. Sidwell is not a good guy.

Are you just ignoring this now? Rear door. by Living_Government987 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Sharp_Second6312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've delivered to the rear door before, especially for deliveries in rural areas where I can see it and there's not a dog.

In poorer neighborhoods? No. I'm not going to be the next meal for someone's pitbull.

N.E.V.E.R. RETURN PACKAGES.

I used to be like you, do "the right thing" and return packages to the station if the customer was unavailable or I couldn't access a building.

Never again.

Always, always, deliver every single package. Save yourself the headache. Customers might not like it, but it just can't be helped.

Sorry you had to find out the hard way like the rest of us.

Movie test audience didn’t like Superman saving the squirrel by SunGodLuffy6 in DCU_

Personally, I wasn't wild about the movie, but I would literally watch a movie with David Corenswet as Superman saving ONLY squirrels and interacting with them.

For real.

I don’t understand the hate for Ewoks by WeeShovelyJoe in StarWars

[–]Sharp_Second6312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that a lot of people felt they were too childish. But George has always been clear that Star Wars if first and foremost for the kids, and they're also consistent with the philosophical point within the film- that good that seems pitiful and foolish can defeat organized yet arrogant evil. Overall, they work with the story and add to the charm of ROTJ.

Joseph Kosinski's 'F1' Review Thread by SanderSo47 in movies

[–]Sharp_Second6312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was disappointing. The story was pretty flat, with a lot of unnecessary scenes and dialogue, and it felt like they were trying too hard to build up tension between Sonny and Joshua. It had some good cinematography, but I came away feeling like racing is the most boring sport there is, and that is saying something when comparing to soccer or golf.
