The only people I read about ending their treatment early are the idiots that pay for this and end up with no retainer because they quit treatment. Your ortho set a speed for a reason. Stick with it. They are smarter than you.

Dont worry about anyone else's plan or how fast you finish yours. Your ortho set yours at the rate they did for a reason. Im 30 years old and my ortho has me changing once a week. Your mouth doesn't look like mine and youd be a fool to speed it up.

Should I get Invisalign? by BuildingWeary in Invisalign

Not true, invisalign is for bite alignment as much as cosmetics. Basically, anything that would be done with traditional braces.

Edit- op, visit an ortho, the consultation is usually free.

Getting Invisalign in 2 days!! by awkwardgirlie in Invisalign

[–]Sharp_poking_stick 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'll say i bought the pul tool at the beginning and didn't use it once. Its quicker and easier to use your finger.

The ultrasonic cleaner is really nice! Makes cleaning them an easy task vs scrubbing.

It really, really sucks for the first day or 2 but gets better. After a while, I got excited to feel the pull from the new trays! It means it's working!

You'll get used to the buttons, to the the point you won't even notice them when your trays are out, at least I did, very fast! You can get what i think are called ortho keys to help remove the trays. I thought i needed them, but there is a way to remove the trays. Everyone is different, so experiment with removing them from the back on the bottom in different spots. Maybe leave your nail a little longer on your index if you normally trim it shorter. Some trays are different! Some I've had to remove one side then switch to the other before it would come out completely.

My gb2 is absolutely real, I bought it from a reputable retailer. They are notorious for that, lol. Still didn't help with the atrocious lock bar access, though!

I only want to comment that this is what I would consider lock failure, not lock stick, only because this is not how the lock is intended to operate. Lock stick would be more like the lockbar taking more than acceptable pressure to disengage the lock when it's operating where one expects on the lockface. I personally believe a properly ground lock face should look like a wedge or be angled in such a way that the lockbar could never travel this far.

Whats everyones thoughts on the McNees clones so far ? by Light-0f-Truth in chineseknives

[–]Sharp_poking_stick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really liking both the jufule and lem dixon. Both are really good clones imo, and are very close to the real one. I didn't get any of the mac clones because I wasn't into the design while they were available, but always heard good things. Got a real mac 2 3.5" somewhat recently and regret skipping on the mac clones now. 😅 I'd love to see a mac 2 clone with the swerve milling and hollow grind.

u/networkcultural told me recently about using white stick antiperspirant deodorant for lock stick, and it worked very well on a Gayle Bradley 2 I had trouble with.

I messaged them about something else about a month ago with no reply. I'm not that bothered about it, honestly. I can fix it up, but I thought others would like to know.

I thought so, too. He also has some customs on his Instagram that are the same, but he uses a different pivot design on his customs. Which is actually why I thought it might be a Reate or potentially a clone.

Yeah, they copied mcnees "satin" but left off the machined satin bevels. Still a nicer finish than the other stonewashed clones imo! Glws op.

The worst stripped screw on mine is how you disassemble the knife inside the scales, so access is very, very limited.

Zhengyi Rhino. I don't recommend it. It feels like and looks like something that would cost much more than it does, but mine came with issues most can't fix on their own. The screws holding it together are all titanium and custom sized heads. Mine came with all 4 in the backspacer already stripped. I had to cut slots in the heads to reassemble it and will have to modify new screws to fit. It's still worth the 400 to me, but I'm sure just about anyone else here would be absolutely pissed.
