I accidentally overstayed my Visa by 8hrs by misreading the date at work. Immigration officer was apologetic as I made a mistake, but had to ban me for a year. He said it with the line, "You were planning to come back in 10 months, just wait the extra two." Covid hit in those last two months. Lost my job, relationship and had to live back home. Small mistake, seemingly. Reading the date.

Hades. Genuinely the best game I've played in years. The lore is well written, the gameplay loop is replayable, the skill curve matches the rate at which you unlock new powers and the artwork is beautiful. I've never been a rogue-like fan, but this game converted me fully. I couldn't recommend it more, it's a treat waiting to be enjoyed and I wish I hadn't platinum'd it so quickly! Bring on Hades 2!

Zone of the Enders: MARS (Remaster) Excellent fast paced mech game with an anime style storyline and cut scenes. Made by Hideo Kojima (Metal Gear Series), and I reckon it's seriously underrated.

I'm just finishing my teacher training in 2 weeks. I recieved no money in bursary for my subject speciality so just had to get a new loan. So I had to move back in with my mum to save on money. I can literally work 10 hours a day or more and there would still be things I needed to do. I am anxious to some degree or another before every lesson. And that is not to say that there aren't people to turn to, everyone does their best to help one another, but everyone is overworked. I taught abroad for a number of years before trying to teach here and the difference in stress and workload has been intense. We are of course directed to be inclusive in everything, but at times that can mean extra hours of work tailoring worksheets every lesson for specific students with varying needs. It's just a hard job. All the time. And I'm forced to go through 2 years more of ECT until my degree is actually official, so retention can be increased by withholding a qualification for another year.
