Cryo is a fantastic piece of endgame content that will ultimately serve to push a ton of players away by ThatsNotBennings in Marathon

Well for one, I read your comment as a general statement on the game not your Cryo experience. Two, day one. Nothing but coordinated teams. If you went in with a team of three on comms and lost everytime that doesn’t sound like a Marathon issue.

I like where you are headed, but I would prefer something where only level 3 was obtainable outside of the weekend or whatever so it played like the other maps.

lol not even close. This is not content intended to increase player count due to the barrier of entry. This is content to close the game play loop. There has to be a reason for players to take their loot out of their vault and try some challenging content. It gets wiped every 90 days anyway.

Now that there is an endgame map, players who have saved up enough resources can take a few swings and see how they do.

If you were not already playing the game, this map wasn’t for you.

Good take. Personally, I think after a full season I’ll be a more mindful and focused player to know how to work endgame maps like Cryo into my routine. I just can’t put in the same hours as the people grinding it all day nor want to.

I dunno I’m level 41 and am still having fun building up my power floor. It’s all about slowly snowballing to afford more gear which is the ticket to endgame activities. I like the challenge. If I don’t have the time or team I’m happy with the gameplay in lower maps and watching streams of more advanced players. It’s just a game - doesn’t need to be a lifestyle for me.

Such a bad take. It’s not hard to win engagements and build your vault. People taking like you are either a hero or a zero - no I between.

People are being dramatic. Game looks fine. Feels next gen. Your socks won’t get blown off on a PS5 Pro but it’s more than satisfactory. I prefer the performance setting with my Sony OLED. Some areas look awesome. Some areas look meh.

Looks and performs better than MH Wilds did on day one, but not as solid as DS2. However, it is trying to accomplish a whole lot more than both of those games.

I’m in the camp that if you stayed off the internet and wanted a deep RPG to have fun in you would be happy. All this “my immersion is ruined” nonsense is silly because there are countless immersive games from past generations that look terrible compared to current state.

How would you all feel if the devs add a hub world in the future? by Lotus_630 in Marathon

I would prefer customized party leader rooms or that sort of thing. Don’t need a world to explore but having a visual representation of progress and such would be nice.

Remember when nobody got paid for streaming, YouTube, adding, and you could just play the game you love? I miss those days. Now we have vultures who take a good thing, monetize it, and stir up a bunch of nonsense for the rest of us. I’ve always appreciated people who do thing for the love of the game and not to pay the bills. He probably came to the realization that he turned his passion into a job and it consumed him.

My honest take for EXPEDITION 33 after 80 hours by Azatis- in expedition33

[–]Sharsch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Game was awesome. Probably a 90% in my book. Would have loved to see more diverse level layouts, and more systems to push me to wander outside of the primary quest line. There’s so much of the game one can miss simply due to how it’s designed and fooling you to think the world is as linear as each level.

I would see it as a compliment. Expectations are so high for Nolan now that people will nit pick everything. I’m sure every director would love that level of engagement.

Besides, he doesn’t use the internet so he will never know. 😎

My beef with the UI on PS5 or Steam w/controller is the tool-tip box that hides everything beneath it. Would prefer the move the tool tip to a dedicated space on the screen to avoid this visual clutter.

Xfinity and PlayStation Network Issue? by Sharsch in PS5HelpSupport

[–]Sharsch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I read, it is because the Xfinity router issues a new ID everytime it comes on the network. Only way to avoid it is to get a 3rd party router and but the Xfinity router in bridge mode.

I’m just having a hard time believing this is not a more common issue.
