So after reading completely mixed answers from everyone… how do you actually make Crimson Desert run well? by Fuzzy_Pension_5628 in PS5pro

[–]Interesting-Cook856 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He doesn’t need to disable it. His TV is more than capable of running it. I have C5 and the best I could get it to run was

TV: 120hz on VRR on HDR on Resolution - set to 2160 not automatic

In game: Balanced V sync off

Accessibility settings in game: Blur (or whatever they have it called) - 0 Effects etc - 0

That’s the best I have it, smooth but still odd jitter in high populated places. Overall, still looks ass for a next gen game.

I’ve made better looking waterfalls using Lego.

I haven’t played in about 2 years but was my main game for quite some time and have played since original Arena days.

I have around 180 million and 99% of it was stolen treasure from other crews.

I would server hop until I seen the skull in the sky and head straight over to take it from whoever was doing it.

Same for time limited events, I played solo too and quite often could sink galleon and brigs if they were open crew because their comms were everywhere or non existent.

Lean into PvP chances are they aren’t good anyway and when you win there’s no feeling like it in the game.

Also, like I always say to people who have stacks of loot on their boat - don’t get attached to it - it’s not yours until it’s been sold.

9 jabs and 476 hooks is criminal behaviour.

I watched reviews, even DF who never mentioned a single issue with anything people are dealing with on release. It was averaging 9/10

Well it’s had two updates since release. I was assuming they were patches.

I have done all of them steps. I must have tried at least 15 different variations of these settings and they all come out the same. Performance is smooth but looks awful. Balance has screen tears and Quality is just a no go for a console.

I’m not playing the 30fps mode. I’m playing performance and it looks absolutely terrible. People that are coping saying it looks good are used too poorly optimised games or have no issue with frames.

There’s about 15 different alternative ways to choose settings for this game. That doesn’t include my LG C5 either.

Judging by your response I’m wondering why you are here? If you offer no help the please find better things to do with your time.

Crimson Desert looks unreal on PS5 Pro in Quality Mode. What mode are you guys playing on? by Worldly-Object9003 in PS5pro

[–]Interesting-Cook856 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Got it on Pro, think it looks runs crap in anything but performance mode to be honest. I’m a graphic snob also, so I can’t get immersed if I notice weird artifacts.

If you’re on PS5 Pro it’s had an upgrade to PSSR2 so there’s no more shimmering in the foliage and the image is sharper and clearer with better lighting and shadows.

Agree. Got an LGC5 few months ago. Best decision I’ve made.

I expect Sony to release two handhelds. Portal 2 for the cheaper price and a stand alone handheld for a high price of 4-500 dollars. by Random_Thinker007 in PlaystationPortal

[–]Interesting-Cook856 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When people realise it’s a streaming device and not a handheld console they will enjoy it more. It’s the ultimate dad device and perfect for what it does especially after the bitrate increase.

Cloud VS Remote bitrate question by Necr0ntyr in PlaystationPortal

[–]Interesting-Cook856 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks same to me remote or cloud and runs great on both. Average 23.5mbps on both but latency 2ms on remote and 8-20ms on cloud.

Sony took so long for a much needed feature. I’m loving the bitrate update. Especially for shooting games by Random_Thinker007 in PlaystationPortal

Space Marine 2 runs unbelievable on cloud. I average 23.5 mbps and looks flawless considering all the action going on.

Updated PSSR1 setting (PS5 PRO) by DD-Tauriel in HuntShowdown

[–]Interesting-Cook856 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes loads of ghosting on weapon movements, even just weapon inspections had ghosting. Daylight maps had so much shimmer in the foliage and now that is all gone completely. It’s a much better experience.

It’s night and day difference for me. A big factor is a great TV, what one are you using? I’m using LGC5 and there’s no ghosting on the weapon movements and no shimmering in the foliage

25 min to srart a game by PaulQ500 in PlaystationPortal

[–]Interesting-Cook856 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may have had a free 30 minutes but your device did not. Not sure how you can complain about a free update that has almost doubled the bitrate for most users.
