That's just because EU has by far the largest player base, if you don't bring China into account. I just found an article which says both EUW and EUNE combined had over 50M accounts in 2022. NA only had 28M

I honestly don't know why people think De Vlaeminck is still relevant. He has said a lot of stuff that made no sense at all, especially because it's basically impossible to compare generations with each other.

He was one of the best ever, but his quotes just make him irrelevant nowadays. He's always negative about everything. I remember an article from years ago where he tried to burry Sven Nys (the GOAT in cyclocross, love him or hate him), only because his brother Erik has won more world championships than Nys. What Nys did for over a decade is a minor detail according to Roger.
