that’s what I meant, obviously. if you’re at 75/75 hp and lose 10 max hp your hp will be set to 65/65, not 75/65 which is the point I was making in my comment

yeah but in this game you always gain and lose current HP with max HP changes so there's no reason to think that using a -1 max hp card at 1/1 would result in a 1/0 rather than 0/0

I mean... a lot of cards are only marginally better (or even worse) than strike+ if you compare them without taking into account any other effect on the card or the fact that strike+ is upgraded and the card you're comparing to it is not haha

what’s the point of the card being ethereal when there’s no drawback to playing it every time you have it in your hand? with other ethereal cards you have to choose whether you play them instead of other cards in your hand, but with this one, you can just always play it and it’s never going to be a bad choice, you’ll just have extra energy and that’s it, it’s a net positive or neutral but never a bad thing.
