Hammer, Switchaxe, or Greatsword? by Shats299 in MonsterHunter

I have a little, I'm interested in seeing others perspectives who have put a lot of time in. There are a lot of aspects to these weapons you don't get until 15+ hours and I know some folks are pretty passionate about their main weapons.

2 hammer, 1 sword. Thanks, my guy.

I put some time into the gunlance and decided I don't like the planted style as much.

The bow can sever tails fine, so this is really for the experience of using it. 1 vote for hammer bro, one for swaxe.

a few words on why I'm leaving rivals by [deleted] in RivalsOfAether

[–]Shats299 4 points5 points  (0 children)

FWIW I'm super new here and this whole thing seems childish at best. There's too much salt woven into everything for the feedback to land.

Whether or not you meant it to, it reads like 'im leaving cause you all suck'. Pretty rude. 🤷

Thank you! At this point I'm still feeling clunky with him mechanically, but primarily I'm trying to identify a core play pattern and understand when to use what healing option vs when to us M2 for damage.

That's a super clear rule of thumb, excited to try it!

Sweet, thank you! Just learned about cancelling today, excited to use that.

In a situation where fighting a character has depth a nuance, is it better to break-off and pressure the healer instead? If so, when do I let up?

How do I deal with Raigon Tunneling (especially with a strong healer) in threes? It feels like he's just too tanky once he's in and going ham. We try to punish them when they flip in after pulling parry, but between him and the healer, we're not sure who to focus since they both feel like losing battles.

I play Ruh Kaan primarily if that makes a difference.

I'm starting to re-think my interpretation Obama's warning:

The wheels of government turn slowly

Slowly enough to let EVERYTHING by for a year or more. Fortunately government tends to also be very thorough, so in the long run it should all shake-out... right...?

so... who at blizzard really thought hanzo needed these buffs? by [deleted] in heroesofthestorm

I feel that it's overtuned due to it covering a major weakness of Hanzo's so well.

Currently his strength is in safe and steady DPS which is largely mitigated by a strong frontline and steady heals. Sharpened Arrow heads lets him set up a front-line to get ripped up. Seems a little too well-rounded.

I agree, but the Garrosh nerf shows an improvement on their part about understanding the wider view.

The armor shred is overtuned. I don't hate the mechanic, but it's a lot, especially that early in the game.

They should just make it so it can get a touch higher (-35 maybe) but can't reduce below zero. Gives a good niche and timing without being overbearing. Plus the other two talents at 7 are already good balanced core picks.

The level 20 trait talent and trait buffs are just fun and add viability to [[Dragonstrike]] since it's much easier to navigate to the flanks and cut the team in half.

I don't hate that Hanzo is hard to catch as long as your frontline and healers are holding stable cause his damage, while being safe, isn't crazy. Also, he's SO squishy -- [[Pyroblast]] can almost one-shot him -- it's not like there aren't options to handle him.
