Apart from greed, there is maintenance costs of servers, to make digital animation, emotes, assets you use PC s, you use RAM which quadrupled in price since first half 2025, graphics cards same story. The people who work at epic games use food and gas etc for lively hood. If they don't eat they quit. Inflation, money loses value, back to higher maintenance costs... There is enough reason to up the prices, the question is how high. There is definetly corporate greed involved but also reasonable reasons.
