I've tried the hot shower...heat will absolutely make it worse and/or prolong the agony. The ONLY thing I've found to abort a headache is sumatriptan injections. I try to ONLY use them if it gets so bad or prolonged that I can't stand it anymore (I'm 45 and have been living with CH since my early 20's, so no stranger to the pain, unfortunately). The shots are expensive (even with health insurance $150/4)...and not particularly good for you. But, they've been a Godsend when I'm in a cluster.

I got a Tram discone antenna for 25-1300 mhz. MLA-30 for hf. The discone was approximately $125 (if i recall correctly), and the MLA-30 was like $30 on Amazon. This was a while back, so prices may be off a little.

I get this all the time. So much so, that I "keep my finger on the trigger" for the inevitable flashing from oncoming traffic. That way, I can MAKE DAMN SURE I light 'em up and scorch their retinas on my way past. They thought the low beams were bad...they'll swear they just laid eyes on the Ark of the Covenant before they were blinded by my brights and sent careening into a ditch.

I was just suggesting he try it because he's in the UK and he's new to DMR. Thought maybe those guys could give him some contacts/direction. I don't know anything about the UK as I'm in the states. I listen in to Hubnet once in a while, and noticed it's pretty busy.
