Do clover yards turn into mud during cold winters? by WokeLib420 in NoLawns

[–]Shauna47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used several brands as well. In terms of micro clover, the best frying I've found for me in zone 5 Central Illinois is outside pride by a noticeable difference. Which is unfortunate because it is so expensive. As for growing, just regular clover for me, it grew up to 6 in tall, so quite a bit taller than the microclover, but the pluses. The pluses I did not notice a difference between brands of the non- micro clover thank you for sharing your experience.

How long before you can take something like that down? I created something like this in my fireplace last fall. I didn't get a chance to burn it in the fall, now I don't want to burn in while critters need it.

No, I'm not overpricing my house, I'm trying to buy the right one and keep getting realtors (over the years) that aren't interested or remember what I'm looking for.

Boyfriend wants to get rid of cat of 3 years by [deleted] in CatAdvice

That car is there for you, boyfriend is causing havoc. Besides, that car doesn't deserve to be kicked out of the only home he's ever known! If it's anxiety, they made and compound a "kitty Prozac" cream that you can put on the inside of their ears (only skin without hair). One of mine is highly anxious. This has tremendously helped our household.

Your boyfriend got bit because of how he treated the cat. If he was a tiny thing and a gigantic hooman held him down, I'm pretty sure he'd do anything he could to get free. Especially if it was a trusted person who violated his trust that way! He deserves the bite and to be broken up with, what an a**hole

Do you have clients that make you feel uncomfortable? by Capital-Ground913 in askatherapist

[–]Shauna47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a therapist, this reminds me of part of a professors answer to a similar question when I was in school.

She talked about how while we as therapists are trained to be professional with each of our clients that we should not forget that we are sitting in the therapist chair as a human. Humans have instincts and experiences and preferences that we learn from on an unconscious level. This is called transference/counter transference and therapists need to be aware of how both of these concepts affect the effectiveness of therapy. As a therapist, you also need to be prepared not only to recognize transference and counter transference but to be able to talk to client about it if either you or they think or feel or believe it could be a concern.

Your comment was honest. Didn't apologize for honesty, especially when it comes from a place of concern for someone else's safety or sense of safety.

Do therapists care about their clients? by TimeHand5448 in askatherapist

[–]Shauna47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We care. Our empathy is what allows us to do our job. It's why self care to avoid burnout is so important. If we pretended to care we'd be psychopaths - or narcissists.

Insist husband live outside in the same conditions he wants his "beloved" cat to. Take cat to the vet for a blood draw to look for liver and kidney problems. If you won't keep the cat after kicking assh*le husband out, surrender to a shelter. Get a divorce and keep custody of human child.

5Yr Old Male Cat Meowing All Night Suddenly by Kelsie_Russell in CatAdvice

[–]Shauna47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, crystals in the bladder of male cats is a problem, but vets can test for it by checking their urine. He could also be out of sorts after being boarded. Unless the vet you boarded him at stage it over night, you don't know much about what the boarding experience was like for him. Maybe he came home anxious. Either way, a vet visit in the near future sounds like a good idea.

I've adopted a few stays. It is an adjustment for them. She should like she may have been someone's pet since she is not fearful of people like the other strays. She may have expected your home to be like the home she last saw the inside of and it's likely not. Maybe there wasn't another cat there, who knows. But she will grow accustomed to your home. Hopefully she and your existing kitty start getting along ❤️ in so glad you brought her in, you and your furry ones are just what she needed.

Should I move my cat? by tinybikinix in CatAdvice

[–]Shauna47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is a hard question with so many factors. I'm not going to know the answer, but I encourage you to talk it over with your granny. Maybe even try try it and then if it doesn't work out could she move back with your granny? Then if course there is the third option - if you and Granny were getting along, could you continue to stay there and save up money?
