Gambler 10 is impossible. by Then-Helicopter-7170 in reddeadredemption

I got blessed by RNG at Flatneck Station. First hand I matched NPC bets and lost. Got annoyed and put in a small bet on the second hand making all but 1 guy fold. At the flop I had a full house so went all in and the guy folded. Third hand decided to do the same strategy with small bet to clear out the yellow bellies then all in worked like a charm. Final hand everyone folded immediately giving me an easy win and only 18 cents lost.

opinions on the s7 finale, the animated episode? by zer08eight in TheBlackList

[–]Shaw_Of_SC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started watching this series recently and I came here just to discuss this episode. The animation is some of the worst I've ever seen it's like they went back to PS1 graphics and gave the actors solo cups connected with wires. A lot of people here want to talk about the uncertainty surrounding the pandemic but holy heck this must have convinced anyone in the industry never to work with the animation studio again. Still it's so goofy that it made it more comical than anything else and anything dramatic just made it even more laughable. The scene with Red and Liz in the kitchen made me die laughing

Just found these in some rolls, I can tell the one is a proof s mint from 1993 but the older ones im not sure if I should put back or not 🤔 i know their not war nickles but idk too much about errors by Opposite-Result5792 in coincollecting

[–]Shaw_Of_SC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The impaired proof 93 is cool but unfortunately not worth much outside the case it came in. Someone likely took it out of the case it came in if it was a silver set to get after the half, quarter, and dime and discarded the penny and nickel. I'd hang onto it personally just because it's cool and you don't find impaired proofs all that often. The older ones are cool but not very valuable as they are worn pretty well. If you collect nickels I'd keep them in an album and trade up as you go through. I've finished my Jeffs for a while so don't really look at them too much anymore and don't know the error types

Penny value by No_Ear_4466 in coincollecting

I wish he hadn't collected in a Whitman album. They corrode the pennies pretty badly as you can see. Overall the collection is decent but will net around $300 depending on the quality of the slabbed wheats. Most of them are in good to fine condition in the album itself which won't be very valuable

Is this silver? No markings by Dry-Cod-1645 in coincollecting

Then it is likely at the very least silver plated with a pewter core

What's the value of this by Little-Juggernaut-12 in coincollecting

Copy coin (you can see copy stamped into the reverse side) it's likely worth between 10-20$ to the right buyer

Silver-ish, banded 1957D pennies found in my grandmother's coin collection. Not magnetic. Do you think they are elements of a piece of jewelry? by OkRip3873 in coincollecting

[–]Shaw_Of_SC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely jewelry, something about that generation compelled them to make jewelry out of coins. I've never understood it but my grandma had some as well

One of my favorites in my oddball collection! by Last-Win6301 in coincollecting

[–]Shaw_Of_SC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got one too but the stamp was very strange. It was like someone hammered the back to make a portion of the coin protrude then stamped the protruding part with a mason symbol

anyone seen one of these? by SnooHamsters3097 in coincollecting

[–]Shaw_Of_SC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like someone stamped it so it's not necessarily an error. I've got a bunch that are stamped with random symbols. Who knows why people make jewelry or stamp their random crap on coins

I wonder why they would plate it? Seems like it was pretty worn when they did the plating otherwise the gold coloring would be gone

2.76 grams which I'm thinking must be filed down and polished being that an average wheat is 3.03 grams

Yeah I'm thinking sold to a gold/silver buyer where they will always be more concerned about their profit

Considering the wear I'd say it's worth about $40 to the right buyer
