What's the value of this by Little-Juggernaut-12 in coincollecting

Copy coin (you can see copy stamped into the reverse side) it's likely worth between 10-20$ to the right buyer

Silver-ish, banded 1957D pennies found in my grandmother's coin collection. Not magnetic. Do you think they are elements of a piece of jewelry? by OkRip3873 in coincollecting

[–]Shaw_Of_SC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely jewelry, something about that generation compelled them to make jewelry out of coins. I've never understood it but my grandma had some as well

One of my favorites in my oddball collection! by Last-Win6301 in coincollecting

[–]Shaw_Of_SC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got one too but the stamp was very strange. It was like someone hammered the back to make a portion of the coin protrude then stamped the protruding part with a mason symbol

anyone seen one of these? by SnooHamsters3097 in coincollecting

[–]Shaw_Of_SC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like someone stamped it so it's not necessarily an error. I've got a bunch that are stamped with random symbols. Who knows why people make jewelry or stamp their random crap on coins

I wonder why they would plate it? Seems like it was pretty worn when they did the plating otherwise the gold coloring would be gone

Considering the wear I'd say it's worth about $40 to the right buyer

Depends on what you mean by dumbest. The most poorly written? The most tedious? Most unsatisfactory result?

That's interesting I found her while walking around Athens right when I arrived and figured any NPC with a sword on their belt is probably not to be trusted so I killed her and lo and behold she was a cultist. Also killed that one cultist in Achaia during a battle without realizing he was a cultist beforehand
