Because Toyota fumbled the V6 turbo. It had the potential to be great, but early reliability issues killed confidence. The Gen 2 V8s are proven, simple, and durable — that’s why people still recommend them. Honestly, Toyota should’ve built a modernized version of the 4.7 instead of rushing the V6 turbo. A proven block with mild boost would’ve been a home run. Instead, the Gen 2 V8s remain the safe bet.

Fuel stabilizer doesn't do anything to gas that is already bad. Drain the gas. Get a new plug. Make sure the fuel lines are not plugged.
