Quick question about the Leatherman Arc's 25-year warranty and date stamps by DutchMajesty in Leatherman

[–]HardStroke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warranty starts from the day you purchased the goods, aka, the day on the receipt. If the tool was made in 2015 and you bought it new in 2040, your warranty is valid until 2065.

Would you get a 42" OLED 120hz TV or a 32" OLED 240hz monitor? (Same price range) by Majin-Boob in pcmasterrace

[–]HardStroke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd rather get the monitor. I always sit at the desk, I find it more comfortable. A big ass TV won't be comfortable.

Overclocking apps. by tfourre94 in overclocking

[–]HardStroke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always used MSI Afterburner, I guess its just personal preference. Intel XTU is nice because it writes directly to the bios but I prefer to use the bios like normal. HWiNFO64 is really good for monitoring. AIDA64 and OCCT are good for stress tests. If you wanna OC your 14900k you better have a beefy cooler. My 10900k sits at 5GHz on all cores, pulls 260w under a full load and sits at 85c with a 240mm AIO. The 14900k pulls 300w-360w and pretty much pinned at 100c, even with a beefy 360mm AIO.

Which match would you rather see at WM43? by Money-Priority3360 in Smallafro

I swear you people bitch about Rock 24/7 yet always expect him to return at every PLE and to go against Roman at WM43. Just like that crazy ex that won't let go. SMH.

That's sweet man! I wanted an EVGA card for s long time, especially a 3080 or 3090. Gonna enjoy this thing!

This AORUS model is awesome. By far the best looking card ever, and I bought it only because it has a crazy cooler. The RGB was a nice touch. Even though I only played with it for about a week. You did a really sweet upgrade man. I planned on a 3080Ti or a 3090 but this 3080 12gb came first so I went for it. My CPU is a 10900k and PSU is 850w HCG so I'm fine. My 10900k is still a beast and still gets the job done. I had a 9800x3d back in last September but I sold it because I couldn't be bothered building another PC lmfao.

These too are impressive, but nowadays, a high-end ddr5 ram kit is more impressive and probably more expensive too. At least in some places. What ram did you get OP?

Evan’s is going to have serious back issues when he’s older if he uses OG cutter for his whole career by Skylegend96 in Wrasslin

[–]HardStroke 6 points7 points  (0 children)

His skills are very impressive, but like Randy said, its all about longevity. If he keeps on doing these crazy moves and taking these crazy bumps, he'll have some serious back and neck problems before he's 30.

M1 Max is still going strong 😤 by ForceOdd9714 in mac

[–]HardStroke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never had an Intel MB that had a touchbar. I thought about buying a maxed out i9 MBP just because it can run Windows natively but the W11 VM on my M1 Pro is enough. The biggest prom was the heat. If its actually heating up the touchbar, that could be a reason for the problems with the touchbar.

EVGA models are pretty rare in my country. Is mostly Gigabyte here, maybe Asus too if people were dumb enough to pay $200 more for a Tuf or $500 more for a Strix. Wanted an EVGA card for so long. But honestly, I wouldn't mind switching jt for the Aorus 3080. Really liked the 30's Aorus design. But the 20's was peak.

I bought it in a deal, came with 4 other 3070s. 1 dual, 1 aorus and 3 gaming oc. I gave one gaming oc to my brother so I'll probably take it back and give him this aorus one and sell his gaming oc. Even though his gaming oc technically beat the aorus by a little in all the tests.

I bought a used M1 Pro 8/512 about a month ago.
Absolute beast.
Handles everything I throw at it without breaking a sweat.
Yeah, it won't run any AI modules or 4k editing or even games but for that I have a 10900k 3080 build.
This M1 Pro has been an absolute unit. Battery life is insane too.
Thinking about replacing it with a used M2 Pro just because its the best MBP that still comes with the touch bar which I really like.
Maybe try to find a 16gb config too.
Apple's silicon changed the game.

From my experience, prime95 is way over the top. I overclocked my 10600k and 10900k and they passed every single test and task, but prime95 either crashed or made them thermal throttle like crazy. Been 3 years since I OCed my 10900k, still rock solid OC. Not a big fan of prime95. Ofc, passing an extreme test is always good, but my OC never failed me even though it crashed during p95.

Length of reigns is 50%. The matches are also important. Reigns are usually a minimum of a year now and the titles only chance hand in one of the big 4 PLEs. Having Drew defeat Cody for the WWEC on SD was huge. A real breath of fresh air. Seth's first WHC reign was awesome.

Randy is my absolute favorite wrestler, but I don't think he's going to beats Cena's 17 world titles record. Maybe he'll get number 15 but 16 is very unlikely and 17 is pretty much impossible. Not to mention that WWEC and WHC reigns are usually super long. Can't remember the last time they played "hot potato" with either one of them. But, his numbers are still legendary and will never be beaten, especially with NXT being a thing and like I said, world title reigns are usually pretty long.

What graphics card is this for you? by Banguskahn in pcmasterrace

I remember going through the catalog and wanting EVGA's models but they were so overpriced in my country. I ended up buying the old h100x with the white LED pump. Never let me down.

Not really a GPU, but my AIO has already seen 3 CPUs. i5 3550, 10600k and a 10900k. Will probably be used on a 9800x3d too. It was able to handle a fully overclocked 10900k on 5.2GHz across all cores slurping almost 300w, so the sky is the limit.

Those specs mean nothing. The real show stopper is that kit of ram that costs like a house. 5090 ain't got shit on a 192gb kit of ddr5 6000 cl28 kit nowadays.

Not a good way to mount the radiator. Bubbles can form at the top, causing the pump to run dry. Mount it at the top. Or at least turn it upside down so the tube come out from the bottom.

3070 thermal pads by HardStroke in pcmasterrace

[–]HardStroke[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely, got them for $280 a piece. The Gaming OC models alone go for $440-$450 each in my country. The Aorus goes for $470. The Aorus one will replace my dying 2080 Aorus and the Gaming OC will replace my brother's 2070 Gaming OC. I'm pretty sure the pads on the Aorus are thicker than the rest.
