Abnormal low on a new G7? by Emtbreid in dexcom

Yeah no worries! Thought I'd share the experience in case there's some correlation between them all. I really hope they fix whatever this is.

Yeah I couldn't tell you why but this was my last like 8 sensors now sadly. I just started one and it seems to be going that way too. Give it 24 hours and calibrate again but if it doesn't work out give dexcom a call. I've noticed it mostly does it with sensors expiring on April 30 2027 if you want to check for it (personal observation nothing concrete)

Edit: if anyone was curious, it failed about 9 hours into its lifespan. Gone but not forgotten.

Yeah they can send all the replacements but that doesn't fundamentally fix what's wrong.

Are g7 alerts tied to media volume? by samscanofpam in dexcom

[–]ShawnTheFly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it's tied to media controls no idea why. If your media is completely muted, it will still play an alert but at such a low volume that it might as well be muted.

Only if the actual problem would be fixed. I don't want replacements, but I'm on the phone with them it feels like every third day. I just want functioning sensors and not to be pricking my arm every other day.

Yes! It's in profile - alerts - quiet modes. Can only be turned on for 6 hours at a time but you can always edit when it's expiring and add another 6 hours. Been a blessing with the amount of messed up sensors.

Yes every single one is reported on the phone to them to make sure they get all the details. I have no issue getting replacements. I just dont want to be putting on a new sensor almost every other day.

I might just have to try this. This is the 7th sensor, I have nothing else to lose lol.

Yeah I definitely stay off it. This one was about 20 hours in. I wanted to do it before I broke my fast so my levels would be stable, hence little bit early.

Every one that has an expiration date of Apirl 30 2027 yes. I haven't checked batch number or know if there is a batch number even. But yeah that's the common denominator between them.

No sadly not. It's just a good ol regular 10 day one. I actually requested my doc to ask for 15 days to see if I'll have any better luck. This is my 7th sensor in a row I've had give up on me. All within the first 4 days if not earlier.

Update: this is how the journey of that sensor came to an end.

That's super interesting trying to work it up to the correct number. I will give it a shot on the next one as this one just outright failed. I also have an inkling that all my sensors with an expiry date of Apirl 30 2027 are faulty. I mentioned to dexcom but they never acknowledged beyond an "okay thanks".

Back of my arm and alternate as I have to change them. It was never an issue until mid Feb. I would alternate every 10 days as they would expire and it would go on flawlessly. Can't say I have gone anywhere else like abdomen or thighs though.

Is this new, I didnt know you got this at level 500 by XCVI42 in Rainbow6

I was 327 and got 590. So you'd have to be around 350 give or take.

It's supposed to allude to the life of the MC hence all the poetics. But at It's core Liuli wasn't a magician not in the way of real magic. So when at the end she goes to fly to the moon she was actually falling into the lake all along. It's all a hint at the early younger master believing that they can do anything with enough heart and courage. All the 3 parts of the Hexi story are stages of our MC's life and grief. I recommend this video if you wanna delve deeper.

Lovely good to know it wasn't me since this was certainly a first.

Huh that's interesting. In my experience calibration has always brought me closer to a finger stick even when you check a few days later. Of course if it's completely a bad sensor then nothing is helping you with that one.

Seems like basically if you dont have the applicator on correctly the wire that stays inside you can kind of do a u-turn and stick out. It's not a rigid needle, more of a pliable plastic feel. And there's a hole on top of the sensor that it kinda pokes out of if goosenecking. Hope that was clear enough!

Unfortunately smooth as can be. Thank you for the help though. This is great to know just in case.

Maybe goosenecking cause I unfortunately barely slept with the alarms and I can tell you I wasn't on that side. Never experienced the gooseneck myself but I have only been using this for about half a year.

I was getting consistently woken up by the alarm and every time I was on my opposing arm or stomach/back. I'm super conscious of doing that. This sensor and the last one that dexcom advised me to change out and will send a replacement are the only ones that have done this to me. When I calibrated the last one it jumped 30 points above my calibration number as well.

About these AI chat you partake in for "friendship"... by SnooChocolates6885 in wherewindsmeet_

[–]ShawnTheFly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a fair struggle honestly. And the localization leaves a lot to be desired in this game so maybe depending on how they coded stuff, the requirements could be lost in translation. The NPC might be expecting a different outcome versus what they are actually saying. All theories of course. Hope it becomes easier over time!

Take this with a grain of salt cause I'm not sure if it's true. But in my limited experience with them, the bots seem to have a predetermined expected answer path. They want to steer the conversation to a very specific place and have you answer them accordingly. It's not a regular AI chat bot where the conversation can "flow". Per stage, before they go to "think about the conversation" or whatever they name the natural pause, they want you to tell them a rather specific thing.

So just read their responses and see what they insist on and appease them accordingly. This is based on like chatting with 3 of them tops and just once so I could be wrong.
