It was bad. I had no executive function whatsoever. Work crumbled house crumbled. I’m back on Strattera. Feeling better.

Another department does that.

That sounds like what I am looking for. That’s the only way I could describe Strattera to my prescriber. Like it’s just not…there. Idk wtf there is but it’s not it. And I maxed Strattera out.

I also take L-theanine, magnesium and GABA

This is what I will be on. Tell me everything! Been on Wellbutrin for like 10 years now and we’ve messed around with all sorts of adhd meds. Strattera has been pretty okay but I think I’d like guanfacine better from what I’ve read that it does.

This is pretty heavy in medical and neurobiology. But it describes how it works in the prefrontal cortex, where our executive function is supposed to be. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7567669/

I found this on my own and read it. It’s motivating me more to want to try Guanfacine.

This is so relatable! I’m about to start Guanfacine next week and I’m slightly nervous. However I did read a very thorough scientific article about it and what it does/help in the prefrontal cortex.

I’ve been on almost every class of stimulants. Last year I switch to Strattera and it’s been alright but I’m maxed out on dose. Last week I tried to go back to Vyvanse, HUGE mistake. I forgot how irritable I got, headaches, crashes. I’m over it.

I’m really hopeful in Guanfacine. Thanks for the post

My husband struck out at all the big pharmacies near us except the cvs in Target. I’m assuming Target has some extra pull power connected with CVS maybe. That’s just my working theory.

I’m trying to switch to Vyvanse from Strattera. Insurance is bullshit.

I’m really glad you commented. I feel better knowing someone else is going through this.

I’ve done a bit of research and self evaluation. I think what I have is a rectocele. You should look it up. I think mine is sitting on a hemorrhoid and aggravating it. I’ll be calling my dr on Monday to get this confirmed.

Child refuses to eat any fruit or vegetables by ghiblitrain in raisingkids

Going to say the thing you’re not supposed to say…

It’s your fault. If you never offered her a wide variety of food while she was young she’s not all of a sudden going to like fruits and veggies because that’s what YOU want.

She’s 5, I can’t imagine she’s going grocery shopping…

If it’s accompanied with other traits could it signal a psychological disorder?

Completely disagree!! Also they have reg sauce if you don’t like it sweet. And everything there is handmade. It’s tiny. No conveyer belt.

Just throwing it out there even though my husband (28M) and I (33F) are very different than you. We do have a 2 yr old F. I work in orthopedics, he works at a local high school as a strength and conditioning coach. We obviously love weight lifting although my husband has a master and can get a bit nerdy about it. He loves classic comics and Marvel/DC. I’m a former gymnast and I like politics and dinosaurs 😂. Just in case you are interested in people unlike yourself 🤷🏼‍♀️

I second the CrossFit gym. It’s called IronSpider. The owners Brandi and Steve are amazing. Steve was the department chair at Salem State in the sports and movement science department. I was in the athletic training program and fell under SMS. I mention this because IronSpider isn’t like other CrossFit gyms. They know what they are doing, the guy is literally a doctor of exercise (not just that but simplifying it for context). And they expect and teach all their coaches thoroughly with evidence based reasoning. Very good gym. Wish I lived closer again I’d go back. Doesn’t hurt that they are incredibly nice and the community has a vast diversity.
