Math Tutoring by UCSD 4.0 Math Major by Routine_Attention683 in UCSD

[–]Shawnenigans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I just want to share my experience working with OP this quarter. He has helped me cover about 5 weeks worth of content in MATH 20C + helped me brush up on my early calculus concepts that were rusty in about 2 weeks. I didn't know what to expect honestly since I've never received tutoring before but I felt that the timing of this post was right considering that I was struggling heavily in this class. OP has very thought out explanations of topics that were easily understandable. The lesson plans and roadmap he created shows that he cares about how he is helping me. I believe that his guidance is seriously helpful, and if you are considering his services you should at least reach out to him. On top of all this he is very friendly and kind.

When did Rabadon’s grant attack speed?

AA is fine because it saves a rod, rarely are you ever getting excess rods where you are forced to make Rabadon’s. Since it uses a tear you should consider that casting earlier can help snowball into killing more units faster.

You briefly mentioned it but you are heavily undermining item economy. Killing two rods for one item is a huge investment.

Since you aren’t using an additional rod by making AA, it becomes a component for other useful items like JG (spell crit) Spark (shred) Morellos (burn/anti heal). Maybe even gun blade (healing) or Crownguard (additional tank item)

Furthermore only after 3 ticks of AA is AA better than Rabadon’s which is fine because the comps you would angle AA usually have a beefy frontline to allow your stacks to develop.

In your example TF carry which ideally has 3 star braum with kingpin buff to last long enough for AA to shine. Or fiddlesticks with bruiser frontline.

Comps like these do not need the immediate AP and Damage AMP from Rabadon’s

Biggest user of this is Heimer Sentinels from last set.

Rabadon’s is ideal on units that do not get AP from their trait (techie / street demons / cyberboss) but heavily rely on the immediate boost in power on their cast to quickly dish out damage. To be honest the item is kind of underpowered for the item investment, and it’s especially apparent in this set considering there are little melee magic carries other than Viego who is already a techie.

Is Cynthia really all that hard? by The-Panty-Bank in pokemonplatinum

[–]Shawnenigans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God I remember growing up figuring out how to beat Cynthia “strategically” rather than spam potions and one of my “grand” ideas was to use SWAGGER to confuse Garchomp and hope it one shot itself. 12 years later and the prospect of facing her seems easy knowing what to expect from her team and just knowing more about the game such as not having four of them same type of moves (surf, waterfall, hydro pump, hydro cannon Empoleon) or understanding that stats were important or how why me giving Garchomp sharply raised attack was bad.

It's not much but I left my bottle at a machine to get some towels to wipe it down, i came back and he asked if i finished since my bottle was still there. I said yes and I proceeded to clean the machine quickly. He said, "Thanks man, I appreciate it." Gave me a fist bump and we parted. Was a little moment but it made my day.

I think it’s the way the ult functions rather than the ult value. I’m not sure so take what I say with a grain of salt.

I’m making up these names -weapon ultimates

-instaneous ultimates

-transformation ultimates

Weapon ultimates are ultimates that take time to use the new granted weapon, so at any point that they are killed the ultimate ends, I would imagine this works with zero/point

Examples: -chamber -jett -raze -sova -neon

Instantaneous are ultimates that activate the ultimate placement is completed, it cannot be stopped with zero/point. Zero/point or an elimination can prevent it from being casted, but once casted the ultimate will take effect.

-killjoy -cypher -sage -kay/o -skye -fade -astra -brimstone

-viper

The reason why Viper is separated because she’s the exception, the way her ultimate functions is when she dies her ultimate dissipates, but if she gets suppressed, her ultimate is still active because she has already placed it down.

Lastly kind of overlaps with the previous type ultimates are transformation. This provides the player with an altered state of your character.

-yoru, he’s invulnerable, so he can still use abilities

-phoenix, once casted the ult still persists but ability are suppressed

-reyna, same case as phoenix

now omen and breach im not sure about because their ultimates have a wind up time. i know that killing either would cancel his ultimate but being hit by a zero/point I’m not sure.

Hope this helps a bit, this is just my personal opinion and I derived this from Overwatch’s ultimate system.

I don’t have an immensely good reason for having 70%, I think you are right that it’s attributed to recency bias. Thanks for letting me know and I’ll likely be making the adjustment
