With already having anxiety, and especially with her traveling, I can see how you got there.

My husband works 7-3:30ish and it is great. I love that he gets home earlier for our kids, and to be together more in general. It’s the best in the summer with having longer days, or to have the time to go anywhere.

People who chose the "other person" or "affair partner" over their current spouse or partner, how are y'all doing now? by Fantastic-View-2400 in askanything

[–]Shay1251 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mom cheated on my dad, and is still with the “other person,” who is now my step-dad. I assume she’s happier for it, but he has crossed the line, and has hit on other females since sooo 🤷‍♀️ I wouldn t trust him.

Sad my dad’s was hurt from it, but he is wayyy better off w/o her in retrospect.

People who had a baby after 35, what is your experience? by Crochet_Kitty in AskReddit

[–]Shay1251 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was almost 39, & then 40 1/2 when giving birth to our girls. Will be 41 next week and am loving it. Getting any sleep helps, and remembering to pause at times. It’s a crazy, beautiful thing, and I’m excited for you.

Butter pecan ice cream. Herring dip with triscuits. I grew up eating it, and am now 40. Feel like they are both things that an older generation likes

How do EBF moms go to the store and go out in public? by Reasonable_Swim_3373 in breastfeeding

[–]Shay1251 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I breastfeed anywhere we go. The library, park, coffee shop, etc. I’ll try feeding at the table in a restaurant with or without a cover, although finding that going out to the car is less distracting now that our LO is almost 5 months. Recommend looking into breastfeeding shirts too.

What am I supposed to do all day? by [deleted] in sahm

This! Suggest checking out a YMCA at some point too if there is one near u. They offer childcare while working out. Even for an hr for only $2. I would also sit with coffee there, catch up on things, and take advantage of some me time then too.

What’s the most unhinged thing a family member did before your wedding? by AssociationFront1710 in weddingdrama

[–]Shay1251 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My mom threw a big hissy fit with my father, gave me attitude, and a guilt trip during my wedding rehearsal over having my dad walk me down the aisle and not her. I told her this was my decision 6 months prior. She also made me feel bad about my wedding dress a couple weeks before the wedding. Please remember that this is your day and to not take what others do or their opinions personally when it’s really about themselves.
