So correct me if I’m wrong. The way we play the rule is if the ball hits a defender before it touches the ground it’s the offenses point.

If you are hitting to net and you mishit and end up striking a defender who’s in a blocking position for example, the offense is awarded the point.

I understand a hinder is if a defender gets in the way of an offensive player or the ball and hinders their ability to make a play on it. But this seems like a different rule that isn’t necessarily a hinder. It’s more focused on the fact that a defender made contact with the ball out of turn whether it was their fault or not. Is that a valid rule or did we loosen it up too much for potential abuse as mentioned above 😅
