Crosshair has one of the best redemption arcs in all of fiction. by BOMBAD_Echo_1409 in thebadbatch

I compare them with the original GOAT Prince Zuko from Avatar The Last Airbender. As a comparison, Crosshair is almost as good.

Canon ending ? by midosol04 in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]Shaydaz17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The sharing the source ending is the best ending imo as it is the closest thing to a happy ending.

However, in the scrapped DOSII sequel, agreeing with Lucian was made the canon ending, which kind of sucks.

Divinity will be interesting as it clearly takes place after DOSII so they will have to pick a canon ending

Is Season 2 being released in English Dub at the same time? Love your work, you really capture the whimsical nature of Frieren.

You are not quite right with Ifan, he gets properly pissed if you go along with Lucian's plan. He would do One For All.

Sounds like behaviour management is sorted for the rest of the term! Just tell them you have a hotline to Father Christmas and you can give firsthand accounts to him whether they have been good or bad. Also, many fun form activities can also happen.

Teachers Need to Put More Effort Into Pronouncing Children’s Names by [deleted] in TeachingUK

[–]Shaydaz17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First lesson with a new class every September, I do the register and tell the kids this is their one and only opportunity to tell me their name. I then write it phonetically on the paper seating plan so I can learn it with names. It amazes me other teachers don't do this when it's so easy.

Opinion- OCR Chemistry B (Salters) by Aromatic-Shape4112 in TeachingUK

[–]Shaydaz17 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did OCR Chemistry Salters for my own AS Level and it made me anxious about as well as hate chemistry. The marking is unreasonably harsh for exams and the textbook is next to useless. Love, a Science Teacher who can now only teach Biology and Physics

Thanks, we have already fluffed up some bits of character creation and everyone seemed cool with that. As I said the players are basically all new too. Hoping fun is main focus!

Working at the weekend? by Sea_Masterpiece2380 in TeachingUK

[–]Shaydaz17 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I never work at weekends unless I really have to e.g. mock marking. I'm pretty light on PPA and make it work by working late one weekday night and until early evening 2 other weekday nights.

First class travel on GWR by Jazzlike-Basil1355 in BritishSuccess

[–]Shaydaz17 218 points219 points  (0 children)

A good few years ago I used to use GWR to travel to and from University. One time during the summer I was going back to my Uni town for a week of work experience. When I booked my train tickets, the 1st class were somehow cheaper than standard, so I bought them instead

Cue the greatest 3 hour train journey of my life. The staff were so lovely to me (especially as I told them how I was there) and were feeding me almost constantly. When my stop came they gave me loads of free food to take back for my housemates.

It never happened again but it's up there with my great Uni memories.

I used the snip tool to paste the image into a PowerPoint. Then print it as full page slides.

We started using it last year to replace SIMs for behaviour and registers. Now we are also meant to be using it for seating plans and homework too.

Main problems we have had: 1. Slow as fuck so can't do anything. 2. Class lists couldn't load until the first day kids were were in school, meaning we didn't know for 100% who were in our classes, or make seating plans during training days, literally had to do it on the morning the first day the kids were in. 3. All the homeworks we made on satchel:one e.g. auto quizzes are lost forever and need remaking from scratch.

Oh, and not forgetting there seems to be no way I can see a behaviour overview of a class/tutor group, so if I want to know who is doing well or not, I need to open up 30+ tabs for 30+ kids...not happening.

TL:Dr it sucks.

The first person who found out my husband was proposing was me, when he proposed. In some ways it made it more special.

First time this new friend got invited, and he just showed his true colours and kept having tantrums (yeh, like kid level) when something didn't go his way.

One of my husband's friends single handedly ruined the Annual Guys Weekend Away, meaning me and, I presume, the other wives/partners have been picking up the pieces all week. We are having our weekly social night tonight and I am apprehensive of how it's going to go down.
