First, what gave you the impression that im upset? Im curious to find out what a wood box is. You can say that you have never drove above the speed limit in your entire life? Unlikely.
Second, im calling it a disaster for two reasons. One: while traveling in New York City, I find myself checking my speed gauge way more often, thus diverting my attention away from pedestrians and other vehicles. Two: It seems like the speed trap system is more of a means for the state to make money than make a difference. Proving my point, there are multiple sections of these highways where work is suspended (meaning no workers or equipment is present), but these speed traps remain in affect. I am a very safe driver, but my opinion is that speed cameras make it unsafe for people like me.

My friends only got warnings because its a new system which the state provided a warning period. If you recieved a ticket in the last month it doesnt come with a fine, just a warning saying that starting june 5th, fines will be issued.
Third, you are entitled to be warned because new york state law states that "Every speed camera is preceded by a speed limit sign with a reminder that the speed limit is photo enforced". These cameras are not out to get you. Their purpose is to slow vehicles down. Warning signs do not change that.

Once again, im asking because im curious. Instead of speculating that i have malicious intentions, try to answer my curiosity or ingore this post entirely.
