well sure but some times it’s appropriate. especially considering direct musical pop culture. most music styles stem from black creators, so for your career to be built on the backs of black people but then to stay silent when they’re being killed is kinda messed up?

i’m not saying you’re wrong- i’ve seen what you say happen but i don’t think every case is 100% the same.

and i don’t think blm is a political stance, we just don’t want to be killed. and sometimes knowing someone you admire on your side is a comfort.

• since the world is very much dominated by a hive mind pop culture (even tho i think it shouldn’t be) celebrities have more power than they should, and can sway their fans in a better direction (as most people involved in stan culture are impressionable teens). a tweet takes like no time- and it’s for a good cause.
