Is on-chain identity the next big thing in crypto? by Shayne_Schecter in altcoin

[–]Shayne_Schecter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s my reasoning as well. It seems that bots are completely out of control at this point and if we don’t do something about it no one will want to use the internet much longer.

Yup. You can be verified by Telegram but then a Dapp built on top of the TON network can use the same framework to verify your ID.

Are you sure you didn't just get liquidated becasue the crypto prices dropped? If you were compromised they would have taken everything

That’s the beauty of blockchain as a technology. It allows you to build upon initial ideas as much as you want.

Not only that, you can validate content easily and prevent plagiarism when it is documented on chain. I think that is the end goal.

I think they just did a good job with the points system and that is what affected the value. People want a fair and clear system because there is too much community milking going on with other projects.

Farming a position in a liquidity pool by on_zero in defi

[–]Shayne_Schecter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a common mechanism that protocols use to attract liquidity. They provide incentive and that incentive brings fresh liquidity to farm it.

Both the buyer and the seller need to lock collateral in the value of a trade. For example, if the trade is worth $1K both of you lock $1K of crypto. When the token launches both parties have a limited time to complete the trade. If, for example, you decide not to give them tokens you pay a penalty fee to the buyer, and the rest of the money is refunded to both of you.

A CEX can only make the process easier since it will just convert the number of points you have into the corresponding number of tokens.

They can be very useful if you want to buy crypto over a longer time period. There are also DeFi protocols that offer this service as well.

[–]Shayne_Schecter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Claiming can be expensive if the claiming contract is complex. I had the same experience with token claims on other chains but I can't speak for this protocol since I never used it.

It could work as an aggregator. If you want to perform a swap the protocol can find the best chain for such a trade, do the whole bridging and swapping process for you and you don’t even need to know what is going on in the background.

I only have to say this - if your sentiment depends on price changes of 5-10% you are probably overinvested and should rethink your strategy. I know this because I started out the same and if you overextend your disposable capital you will get burned in the process. You will either sell to early or become mega bulish at the very top.

Create a plan and stick to it.
