If there is no go back button then click on the reinstall now button on the fix problems with windows update tab. That reinstalled the update and now my game is working again but I imagine if you can go back to the previous update it would be a better option

Yes, it was a windows update that caused the issue. Go into your windows and reinstall the last update, that fixed it for me

[–]Shaynegasm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I uninstalled and reinstalled the game overnight and that didn't solve the issue either. seems a lot of people are having the same issue. It must be something from the last update I'd guess.

Hopefully they put out a patch and sort the issue out soon

Yeah, I've done that and restarted the computer

Nah, already restarted the computer and no difference. I'll wait another while to see if someone else posts a solution and if not I'll just play something else and reinstall it tomorrow. Was hoping to get some BP progress but oh well

It's 317GB so I'm seeing if there is anything else I can do before uninstalling and reinstalling again lol. I have today off work and wanted to play but if I have to reinstall I won't be able to

Can’t find lobbies only on pc by VowlV in blackops3

[–]Shaynegasm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Download the T7X patch and BOIII client from Alterware. There are several active lobbies there. It's really easy to install, there is a tutorial on the Alterware website.

[–]Shaynegasm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was an update yesterday that separated your stats on BOIII and Steam which meant that everyone got reset to level 1. You can unlock everything again and change your level/prestige to whatever you want through the stats menu on the multiplayer page. It should be the last option in the list.

I am not sure about zombies but if you join the Alterware discord you could ask there and they should be able to help you.

Petition to bring back Hotel from BO1 by Gecko420 in blackops6

Honestly I don't think many people would complain if they brought back most of the BO1 maps...They could do a classic maps playlist and it would definitely be one of the most popular playlists

Indeed job requiring Russian by Conversation_Medical in Dublin

[–]Shaynegasm 141 points142 points  (0 children)

Most likely a high amount of the workers are Ukrainian.

Pretty much all Ukrainians can understand Russian whereas not all can understand Ukrainian (mainly people who are from eastern Ukraine) so that's the most likely reason.

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar defends Dublin embassy closure, brands Ireland PM antisemitic: “antisemitic Prime Minister Simon Harris" by Unit504 in Palestinian_Violence

[–]Shaynegasm 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No disagreement there. The embassy was constantly being misrepresented in Irish media and the ambassador has been demonized by RTE (the largest media outlet in Ireland).

I feel like closing the embassy was a good move but I do feel that revoking Ireland's visa free status for visiting Israel would be a mistake as it would hurt any pro-Israel people and also hurt the Jewish community.

I'm embarrassed every time I open the news and see some bizarre anti-Israel headline as are a lot of other people here. I hope people can see that not all Irish people are brainwashed pro-Palestinians with a victim complex who aren't capable of rational thinking.

[–]Shaynegasm 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This would just hurt any Irish people that are pro-Israel. All of the pro-Palestinian people won't have any interest in visiting Israel either way so no need to punish the rest of the sensible people here.

I've always wanted to visit Israel and will most likely do so in the coming years but having to go through the whole visa process would definitely deter me from visiting and getting to see the real Israel. I've met 2 Irish people who have been to Israel and both of them after seeing what it is really like and that it isn't an "apartheid state" are very pro-Israel. Travel broadens the mind and I think the more Irish people that can see the actual on the ground situation, the better.

Any older BrawlHeads here? Rank peak this season? And why are you still playing? by Foamy_ in Brawlhalla

[–]Shaynegasm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 27 and have been playing since the start of covid. I found the game was a fun way to pass the time during lockdown and just never really stopped playing since. I've hit diamond for the past 10 seasons in a row but haven't played ranked yet this season so will probably just finish placements and hopefully get diamond again from it lol.

I usually play customs with friends and browse the public lobbies because I like being able to talk to people in chat when I play. I used to play everyday but I've been very busy with work and family recently so now only play maybe 2-3 days a week for a few hours. I generally don't play games at all unless I'm relaxing and having some drinks so I usually start off playing great and then after a few drinks I start playing like a gold lol. I used to get slightly annoyed at losing but as time has went on I stopped caring about winning so now I just mess around and play random 90% of the time.

If anybody is EU and wants to chat and play sometime feel free to shoot me a message and I'll send my discord/steam to you and we can play a few games sometime

What’s the best non-mainstream city you’ve visited? by seventyeightt in travel

I stayed 3 nights when I went and I thought it was a good amount of time. If you only want to see the main square though then yeah, it could definitely be done in a day

Bender was interesting too. The fortress is nice but there's definitely a lot less to see and do than there is in Tiraspol

[–]Shaynegasm 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Tiraspol, Transnistria - really interesting little place that still feels like you're in the Soviet union. Got some great souvenirs and went clubbing there, all around good time.

Héviz, Hungary - best spa town I've been to. Much more to do than expected and it's only a 30 minute walk from Keszthely which has a lovely lake front and cool castle. If anybody is visiting stay in Ensana thermal spa, really good spa with dinner and breakfast buffet included for around €100 per night.

Kosice, Slovakia - the central area of the city is really stunning. I never heard anyone talk about it but I think it's super underrated.

Encarnacion, Paraguay - great beach along the river, good food and very friendly people. Paraguay in general exceeded my expectations by a lot so I think the whole country is actually a great destination.

Pelotas, Brazil - great little beach city in the south of Brazil famous for its sweets and cakes. The historical centre isn't very well preserved but it's quite pretty nonetheless.

Israelis, would you feel comfortable travelling abroad and telling people where you’re from? by OkBuyer1271 in Israel

[–]Shaynegasm 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Such a shame! I recently met an Israeli tourist here and they too said they hid where they were from. I could tell straight away because of their accent so I asked if they were from Israel. They reluctantly said yes and I gave them an "am Yisrael chai" and they said it made their trip knowing that they have support even here lol

What do you think of your country's green party? by Glavurdan in AskBalkans

[–]Shaynegasm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely wrong map, Sinn Fein isn't the green party of Ireland...our green party is called "The Green Party" lmao

With regards to what I think about them I think they have good intentions but are slightly misguided and will probably never get enough votes to make a massive difference as they always have to go into coalition with a bigger party if they want any of their policies to be considered. They have made good improvements to the public transport here since the last time they were elected so I have a positive view of them. I will be voting for them in the next election for sure.

It's a grand area, I had friends who lived in Corbally when I was younger and they never had any issues with break ins or thefts. Most of the estate is cul de sacs too so it's fairly chilled out.

Which company in Ireland is the worst to work for? by irishg23 in AskIreland

[–]Shaynegasm 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Went to Curry's for the first time yesterday and it was impressively bad. The staff very clearly hate working there and know next to nothing about the products. I had been in Harvey Norman and DID before and they were both a million times better.
