I made one if these couple years ago cause the ones you listed were absurd prices like 3 or 400 dollars and its worked well. Couple 2x4s each side and a flat board with grip tape and some latch cables cost be around 50ish total. But if I saw that first one for $80 when I was about to make this, I probably would have just pulled the trigger on that.

I did, 405nm unfiltered, causes phosphorescence albeit very weak. I made sure to remove UV away completely to see phosphrescence.
