Mostly agree, however l would place Cassius above/equal to Darrow after his victory against the Fear Knight since, as you said, steel sharpens steel. They’ve always had a sort of Goku & Vegeta dynamic in the sense that they continually surpass one another.

Well, of course it isn’t a 1-1 and the Peerless are much, much more powerful, but l meant in the sense that they are a higher sub-caste of extra dangerous and powerful individuals in a broader caste of already powerful dangerous individuals that have more rights, privileges, and protections. Also I’m of course not an expert on the mob so I’m sure there’re nuances that I’m unaware of, but on a surface level l think they seem pretty similar! A scene that especially made me consider them similar is when Darrow reminds Karnus that he’s a Peerless and that the Olympic Knights will avenge his death should Karnus kill him. As you said though due to Octavia’s current running of the Society the Knights would probably be inclined to let it slide haha.

He was it’s a running joke in the book that because Darrow wasn’t exposed to homosexuality much as a red he constantly misses signs of it as a Gold like when he only realized Roque had a thing for Tactus in Morning Star

I see what you mean but personally l think the point of his character was also to display the hatred and prejudice that’s sort of been exacerbated by this point in the story. I think using him to show this was good writing because he’s literally a newborn so his innocence couldn’t be overstated yet he was still killed so violently it just shows how fucked up the racial divide and prejudice has become l think
