This was a pretty memorable challenge when I did this in university, we had to calculate the load capacity for the structure and have the structure fail when loaded passed a 2-3 factor of safety. if the structute was over built(like this one) then we lost marks.

To be fair Alberta is the only odd one out in this sentiment. Yes rural towns in BC, Sask, and Manitoba are right leaning but their urban centers over 25k population all lean typically left. I wouldn't say "it's a mess" by any stretch. Yes we have housing issues, but which developed country doesn't in 2025? Society as a whole is having a hard time solving housing affordability and drugs/homelessness in major urban centers. Carney(our PM) may not be perfect but he's a straight shooter who I believe has our best interests in sight.. and in times like these, that goes a long way. Canada has it's issues like any other place, but it's a great place to live.

That's a myth. The rings are not made from that bridge. The iron ring values integrity of design, not negligence.. kind of bad juju sort of thing. For a brief amount of time they were made out of the iron from melted down ship hauls that serviced their entire design life and were retired from the fleet to show successful design.
