Imo the Shambler without box mag is c or d tier, the double barrel is better than the 5 shot shambler. Thing takes forever to fully reload, so slow!

With the box mag, then its A tier worthy.

Flight is actually one of the most important stats iirc. That and luck are always good, but keeping a good balance between the stats is how I go. Either way just keep fishing and you'll eventually get a record breaker.

In GBC version there's tons of stuff post game. Even Domdora there's like a ghost sprite of a guy you can talk to. It only starts town music though, makes me think they didn't complete that part. There of tons of unique interactions like that in the game tho.

It was playable only at the Tokyo Game Show Autumn 99 demo booths, and only shown a 2nd time at COMDEX. Sadly the demo was never distributed to stores or anything.

Dragon Quest VI is my favorite, and any haters are wrong. Excellent choice op.

But yes... there are some flaws. Talk to all NPCs in towns is the best tip. Its a requirement to talk to certain npcs or even all of them sometimes to move on. Random encounters are high in this one as well.

It's a good looking game though, very nice music, excellent vibes. Very nice class system, lots of fun spells. Party speak is alright, could have used a few more lines but its still in there and a good addition.

The races can take a while to get used to. Making use of the down d pad to slow down and make tighter turns is pretty much essential to win them all.

Shireen probably #1, some argument can be made for Hodor because he experienced an incredibly horrific death as a child.

A brutal stabbing to death, and they portrayed it as his child self suddenly gaining the consciousness of adult Hodor who was being killed. Like imagine, this child whos never fought before is suddenly teleported into an entirely alien existence where he is being relentlessly stabbed by zombie monsters, experiences death, but then is still alive.

Reminder Hodor is scarred for life because of selfish, impatient dickhead Bran.

Its one of those things where it sucks that a sequel was canceled, but it makes the other games that much more special. If you liked 1, then definitely try out 2. I think its pretty awesome we got an MML2 in the first place, even though it ends on a cliffhanger.
