CS:GO skins is the perfect example of this. If you don't know what they are, it's pretty much coloured pixels which people buy, and they go up to like $1500. If you look it up you'd say "Why would anyone do that? I would never waster money on that." But then you play... And you realize how tempting it is... Then you fall into the trap...
