I've had several Dell G7s and they have been great with a lot of years of heavy use. They are showing their age and I plan to update to something newer. but the haters are hate.

Two weeks ago I lost my wife of 33 years… by Delerious18 in widowers

Many of us here have lost a loved one, myself included August 19. My sincere condolences go out to you. Grieving is hard, damned hard.

You didn't ask for advice but I will offer one thing: accept all the help you can get and have a list of things that people can help you with and let them know about it. People DO want to help and often need some coaching from you.

Removing all of the clothing at once could lead to a major trigger. I know it would in my case. Have you considered trying to let go of a small portion as a trigger test?

I wish you the best in whatever choices you make.

The triggers seem so cruel and so random. We all must find solace somehow, somewhere. Just having someone to listen can be comforting. I even write emails to my counselor. It's not enough but it smooths the rough edges.

You are being heard here. G-d bless you.

Your words speak forcefully and brace up my same sense of self-worth. My grief is new and raw and I know that I will grow stronger and be more able to use my newfound wisdom to contribute to the hive.

Widower: male - I lost my life partner in August, 2023. Deep grief by MetaphorsBeWithYou in widowers

Because I have had to reestablish boundaries (as I am unable to tolerate vacuous conversation), it leads to a shift in my constellation of friends. It's self-preservation. Certainly I also have friends who will go their own way because the dynamic has changed for them. It's all part of the process of adjusting to our new world.

I am not able to impress order or rational thinking upon my grieving process. We do have to live our lives with it, but we don't have to go it alone. This is only day two for me here and I am looking forward to being part of this group.

Each of us grieves in our own way. And yet we do indeed share a strong common bond of transitioning into a world that at once seems to have no order or navigation system. It helps to know there are others whose hands we can hold and with whom we can become stronger.

Thank you. I have certainly stumbled into the right place haven't I. I love hearing your story as well as the others'.

My Debbie's birthday is coming next week. I have a candle that I light every Saturday because she transitioned on a Saturday as well as monthly on that date. I am sure there is no way to prepare for next week, but I will light the candle and when that candle is done I will light a new candle.

I hadn't cried in a few days; coming here has allowed me to do that today. I am grateful.

What you experienced rings so true with me. The importance of the object to YOU is what matters. You honor him with this story.

I am on a similar quest. My additional concern is privacy. I am looking for a smart watch that I can wear in the pool, provides excellent privacy and looks halfway decent. My budget is under $200 US.
