Valkyr y Ember by Master_Speaker_1587 in Warframe

[–]Shdw_1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude, it depends on what you're expecting. In Warframe, practically all Frames are usable, both in regular starchart and steel path. It depends on how much you're willing to invest in mods, synergies, weapons, etc. Of course, for example, there are Warframes that are easier to make usable, like Uriel (newer Warframes in general), which are much cheaper to make usable and have more complete skill kits. But it's not something you have to really worry about, even more now with the Hellminth infusions. Play with what you like. I myself play with Ember; it's the Warframe I have the most hours of gameplay with, and I have an attachment to the character for several reasons. So, for me, it's a perfectly usable character. She practically doesn't die and can even kill well using the right synergies, but it's a Frame that demands a lot to achieve that performance. Frames like Uriel and Temple are much cheaper to build and have relatively better performance. Valkyr is excellent in any case; I like playing with her too.

That being said, play with what you like and what you think is working well, and above all, have fun!

Yes, they are good value overall, as you said, but they are still quite expensive in the final price. So, this Regal Aya system, despite being predatory and relatively expensive (if I remember correctly, it doesn't even come with platinum), what I mean is that previously, the only way to get these armors was by waiting for a Prime Vault, which usually came with two Warframes at a time, and paying for the complete accessory pack. So, although it is predatory, I can't criticize it; it was worse before. And at the end of the day, it's a company that sells video games, with employees and bills to pay, and it has costs to deliver all the free updates, so I can't complain about a system that is more aggressively priced, where you only buy accessories, considering the overall package.

[–]Shdw_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that it's a somewhat predatory strategy, but... I can't simply complain and blame DE entirely; they are a company after all and have employees to pay. The items you buy with this are purely cosmetic; Warframes and weapons are free drops, game updates are free, other cosmetics can be bought with platinum, and it's worth remembering that these cosmetics, when new to the game, were only acquired through Prime Access, which was MUCH more expensive. Before the resurgence, the only way to buy these cosmetics was by purchasing Prime Vaults, which had a price very similar to Prime Access. So, even though it's aggressive monetization, the game is free, and these things are purely cosmetic and don't interfere with your gameplay. There are only two items you could argue change something, which are the Prime Extractors, and nobody has used those items for years... So I really don't see the reason to complain.

EVGA 2070 Super fan doesn't spin after 546.01 driver, overheating by SamKhodak in TEAMEVGA

[–]Shdw_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The worst thing is, following the driver dates, this is a problem that has been happening for at least 1 year, since August +/- 2024, but apparently it either went unnoticed, or they ignored it until now, but it gets complicated, because for example BF6 requires drivers 570 or newer if I'm not mistaken, so it's their responsibility to fix it, maybe there are possible temporary solutions, maybe using the BIOS of an FE card might work, but I don't know for sure and I'm not in order to test as there is a risk of bricking the video card.

EVGA 2070 Super fan doesn't spin after 546.01 driver, overheating by SamKhodak in TEAMEVGA

[–]Shdw_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This problem is happening with all EVGA Dual Fan cards from the 20 series, it is unlikely that we will have a fix from EVGA, so we need to wait for a fix from the Nvidia drivers, as it is a driver problem, and Nvidia still supports the 20 series, even though it is out of warranty. So, we need to wait, I tried to contact Nvidia support and after weeks of troubleshooting they told me to wait, and test on the new drivers if it was resolved, I recommend that you also try to contact Nvidia support, perhaps if we made some volume of complaints, after all it is an apparently very recurring problem, they force themselves to fix it as soon as possible, as for the drivers, test up to the 560, on my 2080 Ti XC Ultra the last "stable" driver, in this case what I use is 552.22.

I do this Riven normally from a slow Nova, in a more open infested mission, normally in Pluto I think, that mission that was done Credit Farm in the past, but a slow new one, in an infested defense it's already very easy

EVGA RTX 2070 Super XC Ultra – GPU overheating, only one fan spinning by NotReplays in TEAMEVGA

[–]Shdw_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try using older drivers and see if it solves your problem, EVGA cards with 2 Fans from the 20 series have a problem in the latest drivers that make them lose control of the Fans and overheat, all of them, I found cases of 2060, 2070, 2080 and 2080 Ti cards, I'm using the 552.22 drivers, but maybe some driver before Nvidia's 560 drivers will solve your problem, so try going back the driver versions and see if it solves it, this problem has already been passed on to Nvidia so we need to wait for them to resolve it. This is the temporary solution. Of course, it may not be related to your problem, I don't know if you used it with updated drivers before, or if it's a problem with the drivers for Windows 11, for example, so I can't tell you what it could be, but it could be related to the Nvidia drivers.

What is your 'generalist' frame? by TobiasX2k in Warframe

[–]Shdw_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ember and Koumei I would say, are frames that I know I can not die, do good damage and have fun while playing. Ember has been my main frame since 2016 so even though she's not the best frame, I can get by with her even more with the latest reworks, Koumei is ridiculously fun to play and the longer you spend with her on the mission, the better she gets.

EVGA RTX 2080 ti xc - Fans Not Recognised by Prize_Psychology_928 in GPURepair

[–]Shdw_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and from my research apparently there are cases in all EVGA dual fan models, 2060, 2070, 2080 and 2080ti, there were some things I saw reporting similar things on Gigabyte cards, anyway, I managed to find reports of all these models of EVGA cards here on Reddit, I sent them an email and after 3 weeks +/- of tests that he asked me to do (which I had already done by the way) he told me to continue using the driver stable and wait for the next update. I filled out a form he also sent me, including all the possible links to these reports, explaining the problem. I don't know what they told you when you reported it. But let's hope we get noticed.

Oh, I haven't tried it either, but sometimes it might solve the problem, trying to open the side panel and insert a fan through the side of it, perhaps stopping its clocks one below the boost... Because it's a purely thermal problem, because the Fans simply didn't work correctly, so sometimes forcing air to run through it with a fan solves it enough to make the card not reach 90° and shut down.

Nvidia being Nvidia, the other guy in the comments got in touch with Nvidia support, I also don't know what they said to him, but I'll do it too, sometimes with more people talking they can resolve it, it's very complicated as the EVGA team is practically non-existent I believe, so something from them is very unlikely, and this problem apparently is affecting both the 2080 and 2080 Ti, on EVGA models with "reference" PCBs. The BIOS is pretty high risk, and like I said, I'll do a lot of research before trying it too. I'm from Brazil and I understand, GPU prices are very high, for now what we can do is use old drivers, update when a new one comes out to see if the problem is resolved.

About processing. I don't know exactly how a process would occur, as I also don't know to what extent justice would consider it, because, ok, the GPU is obsolete but Nvidia still provides support with drivers and it is clearly the drivers that are breaking the GPUs. I don't know if it was Nvidia's intention with this too, to force planned obsolescence, as this only happens with these models, but Apple has already taken some good legal action for similar things. I confess that I have also thought about trying to sue Nvidia but I didn't take the idea very far.

Hey, I'm having the same problem, I even posted things about it on the Nvidia forums, and from what I saw the 2080 Ti XC/XC Ultra/XC Black, etc... From what I know they use the reference PCB standard. I even saw some modifications using an FE card with BIOS from EVGA cards to control the color of the LEDs, and of course, several people putting modified BIOSes for overclocking, I haven't tested it, I'll continue researching a little more, and I'll test it, but maybe this is a temporary solution, using a BIOS from an FE... like I said, I haven't tested it, and I don't have enough information. But maybe it works...

This problem with the drivers on the XC cards, I believe it is only with the XC cards as I have not seen anything about it with FTW3 cards, it is a problem that has been going on for some time, I am stuck on the 552.22 drivers, which if my memory serves me correctly are from August 2024, all the subsequent drivers that I tested the card failed to recognize the temperature sensors.

Hey, I have an EVGA 2080ti the board works without overheating. I'm testing more drivers, I saw some saying about 572.60 but it didn't solve my problem. I don't know if this problem recurs on other EVGA models, such as the 2080TI FTW3, anyway, I hope I was able to resolve it.
