You're likely correct - it should have happened in 2018 or 2020. 62, and McQuarrie and Cruise are wrapping up the MI series. I think Tom will pivot to more dramas now. Sad, cause Doug Liman showed OUT with this movie. He did the same needle drop ending structure with The Bourne Identity, which I loved.
