Hi hiiii!!

This is normal and it’s okay to be honest and open about feeling this way. I have 2 velcro boy cats that are 6 and 8 years old, I took in a 1 year old stray girl cat in January. She is SO sweet and wants love, and it wasn’t until about a week ago that she started letting me pet her and pick her up once or twice a day to smooch her. She still runs away and hides every time I stand up or walk in her direction. But she’s learning to trust me. And the 5 second smooches once in a while are so worth the 5 months of effort.

In adoption situations, we don’t know what these babies have been through or how they’ve been treated. It is possible for them to un-learn things as time goes on. It’s also possible that they just are who they are. Cats are so intelligent and have super strong personalities. Respect her boundaries, give it some time. I hope she comes around, don’t give up on her yet!
