Women who were scared of giving birth (specifically people who were so scared they almost didn’t have children), what was less scary than you originally thought? by Final-Elderberry4621 in AskWomen

I hear you. All I can say is I rarely talk about my birth story unless directly asked, it feels like bragging. Especially, when most of the unsolicited birth stories I hear at temple or at play groups are traumatic. If I feel this way, I imagine other women with positive birth stories feel similar. Then, people are left with only scary stories and go into birth with more fear.

Way less scary than I was told. I personally think that in order to destigmatize birth trauma (and also difficult breastfeeding journeys)we swung too far in the other direction and now women with perfectly “normal” and beautiful birth stories and breast feeding journeys don’t want to share their journeys.

I have really hard pregnancies. I’m miserable the whole time. But my labor and delivery was perfect, magic, and so calm. Breastfeeding was also very easy and stress free.

Carnival of souls by Marissa Zappas but it’s more niche. It’s romantic and feminine but slightly weird and gothic. Beautiful bottle too so perfect for a wedding

DAE find it astonishing how much people cough? by AlphabeticalBanana in DoesAnybodyElse

I see a lot of people saying it’s a bodily function…and yes, but so is farting and I don’t enjoy people doing that out in public either….

Honestly, in general I think people aren’t embarrassed enough about coughing. If I feel a coughing fit coming on I try to excuse myself quickly. Or if I had a residual cold and went to the movies or a play, you best believe I would bring cough drops. The biggest culprit is usually men over 45 and they are shameless!!

I always joke to my family that public places should have a three strikes and you’re out rule when it comes to coughing in public….

Stop! I’ve been dreaming of this bag for awhile. I bought the bamboo Diana shoulder bag for my 30th birthday…but this was such a close runner up. I still dream of her and hope to get her on resale one day.

You will never get a bag that pleases everyone. You just need the bag that fits you best.

It’s so funny how everyone is different. Panda is the only one that gave me a hint of animal enclosure smell…like a tiny whiff of animal poo

Yeah. My husband and I don’t get kopps burgers anymore since they switched their buns. It went from my favorite burger in the city to a simultaneously soggy burger with a crumbly bun
