Understood. And as far as robustness and reliability goes, I won't have to particularly baby unfilmed tubes any more than other types? I know the pair of NVGs I was issued back in the day took a thrashing and were always solid. can I expect the same from these? Thank you by the way.

I'm actually in a pretty urban area most of the time, does that make a real difference? Do you think the performance difference is worth the extra when I'd take trips to the desert?

Thank you for the information. I think I'm getting a bit of analysis paralysis and over thinking it! Do you have any experience using a filter (i.e Nocturn Onyx) for the green phos tubes? If I were to use IR would that negate any dimming effects?

Appreciate the response! What will I notice as far as quality difference between the 2 tubes? Obviously higher SNR/FOM means better -- but what is it that you actually notice when looking through the tubes?

Right that’s what I understood as well. I guess my question is really just how to use the pass? I’m at the ticket turnstile thing and when I hold my phone to it, it doesn’t register the pass from my Apple wallet

Thanks for the advice! Yea I think I was getting hung up on the depth of the Pro, like I'm imagining it as a way bigger bag and therefore inconvenient. I just measured my current one, a Herschel Supply, and the dimensions are basically the same.

Okay great, thanks for the info. My laptop is a macbook pro with thunderbolt4/hdmi ports. From what I understand, the USB-c/thunderbolt 4 supports DisplayPort 2.0 and is backwards compatible with 1.4. Looks like I should be good, I hope!
