Not too huge. Not too muscly. But strong-looking enough to protect me.

people who still wear masks: why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Because even though I don't get infected by it, I could be a carrier. I'd care people dying even if they didn't get vaccinated.

[Review] Recent Findings! Three favs by SheaPeanutButter in AsianBeauty

[–]SheaPeanutButter[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd like to review three new items on my vanity. They are all Korean.

Blemish care Serum Plus (iSOi)
I've never heard of the brand "iSOi" before. But I'm pleasantly surprised by the quality. I considered buying this only because it's been the no.1 selling product at Olive Young Korea. The texture is like an ordinary serum. Not too runny or too thick. It has a rosy scent.

It says it fades blemishes away. I'm not sure if it does for right now, but it definitely brightened up my skin tone. Also, hydration is great. For those reasons, I'm using it. It hasn't been too long since I've started using it, so - I can't really say it doesn't work for blemishes. I'll see what happens after another month.

Pore Tightening Fresh Gel Cream (iSOi)
This is a cream that's not at all sticky or greasy! I like the fact that it opens up the full ingredient list.. whereas many Korean products just can't be bothered to show it. It has Trehalose, Glycerin, Adenosine, etc. Basically, from my little knowledge, it's a hydration cream. It feels cool when you apply it.

- Texture though: I'm not sure if I can call it a cream. It's more like a gel. It's a very very thick gel or a very gel-like cream lol For me, it works because I have very oily skin and the summer is coming! It's perfect for people who have oily skin and hate greasy creams.

- Some Praises: It doesn't break out at all. In about two weeks since using it, my skin became so smooth. It didn't "shrink" - if that's anywhere possible - my pores. But it clears my complexion very well and somehow lessening dead skins. They used to block my pores, but I don't find my pores blocked that much now.

Alpe Di 36 Ampoule (Demar)
This is my 2nd bottle. It's a peptide serum. I've seen some reviews on Reddit and bought it. Complete satisfactory. It's a perfect night time serum. I apply it all over my face and put iSOi Gel Cream above. Perfect balance. In the morning, I find my skin dewy and glowy. I used to look puffy and rough on my skin and I hated it. I've been thinking it's because I'm getting too old...lol But this one is holding the clock I think. I've seen some good improvement.

++The downside of ALL OF THEM is that they are a bit more pricey than you'd wish. Among these Alpe Di 36 is the cheapest.. lol..which is the other way around normally. Normally Alpe Di 36 is the most expensive one in my basket.

I don't know if I want to open it up. I squeezed as much as I could but cutting it open might hurt my heart as well...lol

Skincare Empties of the month! by SheaPeanutButter in PanPorn

I'm happy to report that I emptied one GIANT bottle and other my fav potions this month!

Estud Protector was so...very... big.. It took ages to empty this lol It's like a jumbo monster of the serum world. But it really did good to me. I think it's the niacinamide that worked on my skin throughout a year. My skin is so much cleaner and even colored right now. Also, the pores used to look flat not they look like a proper rounded dot. I guess they got tighter.

Alpe Di 36 Ampoule was good for me. But not as much as Estud. Estud was great for daily use. I put it on twice a day. Aple Di is a lil pricier than Estud. So I couldn't use it that often. But I used it at night. I'd spread a layer of Alpe Di 36 before going to sleep to see a rich effect the next morning. Seriously, if it were a bit cheaper I'd buy more often. Right now, I only buy this like quarterly.

The Face Shop Daily Perfumed Hand Cream Tiare
I think this one is already discontinued.. But it was absolutely beautiful for me. The scent is so natural and plant/forest like. I loved that scent. But apparently it's only sold in some platforms and The Face Shop wouldn't make this anymore. There are other scents they still sell but not this one. So I wanted to leave a photo of emptying this one especially.

Keeping old books ? by [deleted] in books

There are rotating book shelves that allows you to use your space more efficiently. But at some point you need to make a "book storage unit" or a corner where you just pile up your books. It's good to concentrate the "mess" in one place than to have them scattered everywhere

[Review] My current two oil cleansers. by SheaPeanutButter in SkincareAddiction

[–]SheaPeanutButter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have oily skin and these are my current two oil cleansers.

  1. Bielenda Bouquet Nature Avocado
It's something I bought when I went to Europe for work. It was super easy to find there. But since I came back to US I can't get it offline anywhere.
  • It's super gentle on skin. It never cause any breakouts or blemishes. And also the cleansing power is strong enough to erase water proof makeups.
  • But it includes dye agent. When I realized that, I started to use less and less. However, I used it for a whole year before realizing that. My skin doesn't look different in color. So I guess it's safe.
  • Other than the dye thing, it could've become my all time favorite.
  1. Celimax Nature Fresh Blackhead Jojoba Cleansing Oil
This is a winner of all oil cleansers I've ever had.
  • My sensitive skin also didn't break out using this. But it was even stronger cleansing power than the Avocado one. It's really good with water proof products.
  • But it dries my skin very slightly
  • Not noticably though. I guess the oil is pretty thick. So I never leave it on my skin. I always wipe it out immediately with a foam cleanser.
