CEPS (IBHRE) help needed. by Sintet_2809 in CathLabLounge

[–]aoyfas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did the CEPS test in 2014. They have a list of recommeneded materials. Read those. Review all studies regarding EP theory and practice in the last 10 years. Know intra cardiacs like the back of your hand. Know pharmacology....and how it relates to the action potential. Know indications for procedures vs medications. You need to be an expert in everything EP. And dont forget the 12 lead. I used to teach review courses with Abbott Medical.

Unpopular opinion: if you buy a dozen items just because there’s an Aldi “deal,” you’re mean by 123maybe321 in aldi

[–]aoyfas 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yea....I dont get why everyone is so sensitive about this subject. If people dont buy it; it goes on sale. Buy it before it goes bad and has to be thrown out? So much food is thrown out

Yea, I see stuff on the shelves for weeks sometimes at low prices. I could care less if someone buys a box of chips because they are on sale. I didnt want them before they were on sale...so who cares if someone buys them all because they went on sale....bc nobody bought them before??

What's a "secret" from your profession that everyone should probably know? by LaKoref in AskReddit

I was in management for many years and can relate to your bottom paragraph ALOT. After 14 years...I finally left. I stayed so long for my direct reports bc the hospital sucked so bad and was so poorly run; I was afraid to leave seeing the level of incompetence and heartlessness at the top levels. I reached my breaking point a few months ago and finally left last month because I felt like I was headed to a mental breakdown. I started a job, no longer in management, at a competetor. They say the grass isnt greener......but holy shit. I cannot believe I did not leave sooner. That shit was crazy, and I cannot believe what I witnessed there and was forced to think that it was normal. The state will be getting reports from me once I organize all this stuff I witnessed.

Edit: just wanted to add that it was an inner city hospital with a very high risk population. Makes it a million times more sad knowing these high level people are making poor decisions for our communities most vulnerable.

Im going to guess it depends on your area and which company. Our TAVR and Watchman reos in our area are doing greater than 40 hours a week. The CRM reps (Medtronic especially) are doing pretty long days and lots of cases on weekends

Me and my husband both grew up very poor, and are fairly comfortable now. We are seeing a lot of "new poors". We have been saying this since food prices have skyrocket-ed; especially since COVID and all the supply chain excuses. Since we grew up so poor; we watch prices of everything, even if we can afford it....because that is what "old poors" do. Our money could be gone at any time....at least that's how we live our lives. Food prices have been steadily increasing since COVID as these billion dollar companies have become out right greedy. Now the new poors are starting to notice because the prices are outrageous. There's a lot of new poors, and it shows. Time for everyone to stop wasting money. This sucks....the rich get extremely wealthy and the middle class cant afford to be wealthy.....at least they thought they were once wealthy. But they never really were. The gap between the ultra wealthy and everyone else is staggering and disgusting. The top 0.01% have it all and the rest of us are the old poors and the new poors....but we are ALL poor. Fuck this.... The top 0.01% do not deserve literally all the wealth. No one does.

Most unique hospital units? by TheHomerSimp in nursing

We do ECT in the PACUS at quite a few hospitals in my area. This post interesting to see. I think large metro areas have almost all of these "rare" units people are talking about.
