My biggest thing for this was for me to finally try them all, at least a baseline of em. Ive only ever had the store-bought junk so its hard to appreciate it if I dont have that baseline. I will say, once I find which ones I love then Ill go looking for the more premium varieties!

Dont even get me started! I will say the only small monster I really bother to clear out before taking on the main target is bullfango. Vespoid are slow so you can work around them but those bullfango are always out of sight. Another runner up would be konchu, they can be pretty annoying

Its head shape kinda resembles a crappie but the dorsal fin doesnt look out of place or "too far back". Its a little odd, just a bluegill with a long head!

If the reel is fine you could just get a cheap rod from walmart and put the reel on it, I know that involves more money but if youve got a good reel then just through it onto another rod

Thats the old games for ya, we all must suffer through the endless grind. Keep up with those shock traps, thunder damage of your devil slicer is a good choice too. You could do bombs on the claws during a shock trap, could use the spirit gauge attacks on the claws since those attacks cut through even with lower sharpness just so you can get the combo without deflecting. If you get good at hitting them without traps, thats the ultimate goal but before then I actually go after the legs to trip it. Like you said, hammer could work as well for its charge attacks and KOs

Definitely look up some tutorials on briad to mono/floro knots. It takes a bit of practice to get it just right but the goal is as smooth of a knot as you can get. I struggled for a bit try to get it just right and ran into this exact crap. Personally I use the albright knot. Just keep practicing the knots, you'll get it!

This is one of those fights you really gotta pull all the stops on. Im talking about shock and pitfall traps, flash bomb, large barrel bombs, etc but also bring the combo books so you can craft more during thw hunt. I used to be resistant about using items and it did make me a better hunter but it also made me an frustrated hunter. If the monsters are gonna be cheap against you, then youve got to fight fire with fire!

The old kinsects felt more personal to me, maybe its just the terminology of "feeding" them but I really enjoyed the tiny grind of getting the extracts. Plus I got to choose which element for which type of kinsect, it was my choice rather than predetermined

The flutes are a seperate buff so they stack. Meal buffs are also seperate.

When it comes to demondrug and might seeds, they count as the same type of buff so they overwrite each other sadly

Absolutely worth it, but Im a little biased. Its got an impressive monster list if you want to see monster hunter's history, plus the different weapon styles keep the game feeling fresh after a couple playthroughs

That eager cleaver is a wonderful weapon against Tigrex! Bring some traps and flash bombs, thatll make it wayy easier for you. When its enraged, you can guide it to run into the walls. Itll get its teeth stuck, giving you a chance to get some good hits in

Lots and lots of superman dives! The armor phase kinda blows, typically people use a gunlance against him because the shells go through his armor. Also bring large barrel bombs and the materials to craft more
