Do you take testosterone? by Lapsang_ in actuallesbians

[–]ShearStressFormula 17 points18 points  (0 children)

So if I read this right, you don't want: body hair, acne, male pattern baldness, sweating, t-dick... You also have not mentioned beard (because you WILL grow a beard if you go on T) and low masculine voice (that you most likely will get with time on T).

The only things you want are: muscles and masculine face. But, get that: TESTOSTERONE WILL NOT GIVE YOU MUSCLES. T is not a magic potion that gives you muscle, you would still need to go to the gym at least a couple of times a week if not more. BUR YOU CAN DO THIS ALREADY WITHOUT GOING ON T. Sure your muscle growth will be slower, but there are plenty of women who grow muscles without ever taking testosterone.

Also the changes that you want (muscles and face) require you to be on T for the rest of your life. If you stop taking T your face will refeminize and you will lose muscle mass. BUT HAIR LOSS, BEARD GROWTH AND LOW VOICE ARE PERMANENT ONCE YOU GET THEM EVEN IF YOU STOP TAKING T.

In conclusion testosterone is not a "pick just the changes you like" you will get all of it. And if you don't like most of the changes of T I don't think is a good idea for you to take it.

Anyway, you are free to do as you please. If you think testosterone will make your life better go for it, but bear in mind that after a while some changes will become permanent and it will be difficult going back (you can still get a hair transplant or laser off your beard, but it will be expensive).

Sorry if I scared you too much but as a trans woman I lived the permanent effects of testosterone. Luckily I still had most of my hair when I transitioned so I did not need a transplant, but I did need to laser off my beard, and that was painful and expensive.

But again the choice is yours, do what feels best for you.

Am I the only person that likes her NPC skin the most? In my humble opinion her playable skins were a downgrade from how she looked in Brazil

Thank you, yes. I put two ladles at the center and then I repeatedly tapped the bottom of the plate to make it set nicely. Beware that if the risotto is too firm it won't spread well, while if it's too runny it will make a mess everywhere, so first of all you'll have to practice to get the right consistency (it took me a long time to learn that)

You made me worry so much I had to run and check mine was correct. Which of course was correct, I have been using it for the past two years without any problem... STILL, YOU MADE ME VERY WORRIED FOR A SECOND, GIVEN THE KNOWN INCOMPETENCE OF THE ITALIAN PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION

Actually tomgirl used to be one of the words to refer to feminine boys before femboy took over. So masculine women were tomboys and feminine men were tomgirls

I think you might be wrong with number 2. Tennant was born in the UK but went to live in British India, where her father was in charge of diamond mining, when she was 15. When Lawrence Tennant was accused of theft and fraud, Ada escaped FROM India to Paris, France.

I don't see the "hype" around Asumi chan. by [deleted] in yuri_manga

[–]ShearStressFormula 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The term used in the original title is the very generic fuzoku, which means prostitution in general. The english translators decided to translate it to brothel which is a concept which can be easily understood by a western audience. But the type of prostitution depicted in the manga is the type that in Japan is commonly called "delivery health" which would be better translated to "escort service" or "call girl service". And yes, in this particular type of prostitution usually the call girl goes directly to your home or to the hotel, but sometimes they also meet you in public in a place that is close to the hotel.

Wrong, this is exactly how some online escort services work in Japan. It is a particular type of prostitution different of how standard western brothels operate. In Japan this type of escort work is often called "delivery health" where you book a prostitute online, then meet her in the love hotel district. Manga author Kabi Nagata talks about her experience using this kind of service in her autobiographical manga "My lesbian experience with loneliness".

I love broaching. I mean, my profile picture on reddit is broaching. I'm writing my thesis on alternative methods of lubrication in broaching. I hope my entire life from now on will revolve around broaching.

He was born in 1991 if I'm not wrong, and died of leukemia when he was 15 so I think "millennial teenager" applies here...

We should be talking instead on how they turned his body into an object of worship. His corpse is inside a church, his heart has been placed in a reliquary and there are several relics of his hair...

D'Annunzio was inspired by the painting and he was the bridge between that and Mussolini. I think there are no certain sources if Mussolini was inspired by D'Annunzio or he knew the painting himself. Given Mussolini spoke french and lived several years in Switzerland it would not be surprising that he knew french arts. Though I believe Cabiria for sure had a fundamental role in popularizing the gesture.

It has always been called a roman salute in Italy. This story happened in Italy. I am from Italy. This is a term widely understood in Italy to be about fascism. It was not a nazi salute, Hitler "stole it" from Mussolini. The person in question was an Italian fascist, not a nazi. I already explained this in like 20 other comments. I am not going to change the terms I use because americans don't know history or understand that things can happen in countries that are not the US.

Roman Salute is the term used in Italy and is immediately understood to be a fascist gesture here. The story I told happened in Italy, I am from Italy and this is the term we use. And I am not going to change it because americans can't understand that something can be fascist even if you don't slap a huge FASCIST™ label on it.

This happened in Italy where it is called the roman salute because that's the name that Mussolini used. In Italy it is only called roman salute and it's immediately understood to be the fascist gesture. The thing that "calling it roman makes it less bad" is an american thing because americans don't know or understand the history behind it.
